Hey fatcat,
Don't you see the flaws of your argument? There are no Christians acting on any of these items you brought up.
True Cristians pick and choose what best serves there needs and idology and use those laws and rules to follow.
I will take Christian society over muslim society any day.
Some will take Christianity, others will choose Muslim. Still other one of the many hundreds of other religions and way to worship or not worship, God the creator. What is so neat about this country is we get to FREELY choose which one.
It's pretty clear that you're a flaming liberal with a chip on your shoulder.
How did that become a bad thing. Do you think Jesus was a conservitive? Guess again.
Do you really beleive that; if in your perfect world, the US pulled out of all these countries that you are opposed to us being in - everything would get better?
I do. Will they become perfect places to live? No, but we would be taking alot of fuel from the fire there.
pease loving Do you really beleive muslims just want to co-exist with all the other religions? How do you explain their problems with Hindus and Buddists by the way?
Line them up. They all have a beef about the others. Nearly everyone preaches of the death and destruction of all those non believers and those not in that religion.
Geez, I think the last time I checked, muslims are involved with almost 20 wars or slaughters around the globe at present. This whole Darfor thing going on in Africa - it's muslims killing Christians. Just a little tidbit mainstream news won't tell you.
But I am sure fox will. Actually the conflict in the impoverished region of Sudan is between a rebel group that began attacking government targets, claiming the region was being neglected by the government.
The rebels say the government is oppressing black Africans in favour of Arabs.
Darfur, has faced many years of tension over land and grazing rights between the mostly nomadic Arabs, and farmers from, Massaleet and Zagawa communities. In short its Arabs against Black Africans
Go ahead and bury your head in the sand. When the next terrorist act occurs here in the States and it turns out that it could have been stopped. Unfortunately, some liberal judge decided it was not fair monitor these high risk types - I hope you're happy with yourself.
Why doesn't the administration just follow the law? FISA, They can even get a warrant after the fact. Why do they need to monitor EVERYONE? With over 16,000 FISA warrants heard only 5 were turned down. Very likely they were reworded and then issued. Look at those odds, what was the chance of any terror network not legally being able to be watched. With in the law.
Go ahead and keep supporting the aclu and their ilk at your flag burning ceremonies, and ask yourself who would osama have voted for? 😉
I can say with all certainty he would be a big 'ol W supported. Bush has given him everything he ever dreamed of.
Go ahead and take your cheap shots at Christianity. This country was founded on it, and its beliefs.
Many Religious Right activists have attempted to rewrite history by asserting that the United States government derived from Christian foundations, that our Founding Fathers originally aimed for a Christian nation. This idea simply does not hold to the historical evidence.
Of course many Americans did practice Christianity, but so also did many believe in deistic philosophy. Indeed, most of our influential
founding fathers, although they respected the rights of other religionists, held to deism and
freemasonry tenets rather than to Christianity.
The United States Constitution serves as the law of the land for America and indicates the intent of our Founding Fathers. The Constitution forms a secular document, and nowhere does it appeal to God, Christianity, Jesus, or any supreme being. (For those who think the date of the Constitution contradicts the last sentence, see note 1 at the end.) The U.S. government derives from people (not God), as it clearly states in the preamble: "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union...." The omission of God in the Constitution did not come out of forgetfulness, but rather out of the Founding Fathers purposeful intentions to keep government separate from religion.
