Not So Fast

Depends if you work the line, heavy or shops.[BR][BR]A line mechanic usually does a daily check and tries to fix anything a pilot writes up. THe third shift line mechanic does a lot of work, fixes the mels, deferred items and preventitive mainteance and line mods. The heavy mechanic does the overhaul of the airplane and required mods and heavy checks. A shop mechanic overhauls and repairs the numerous differant parts required on an airplane.[BR][BR]For example a 747 has over one million replaceable parts and items.

God does not think he can fly an airplane![BR][BR]
Tight end Jeremy Shockey and the Giants need a win over the Eagles to get in the playoffs.

Bob, do you know the difference between a pilot and God?[BR][BR]By the way Bob, I am a firm believer in my 14 years here that US fosters the infighting amongst work groups, you know the old saying divide and conquer. Dave's Cheerleader Capt you know who is a perfect example.

[P] A fellow co-worker had this EXACT thing happen to him. It was a whole FOUR (4) years after the fact and right around the 427 thing which only added fuel to the FAA’s desire to hang someone. I won't go into the complete details, but it came out ok ONLY because there was also an unlicensed mechanic involved, which the FAA couldn't touch, so they let the A&P guy off because of that fact. If they had both been licensed they both would have been fired and long gone. So this stuff really happens, it's not fictional horror stories, it's fact. [/P][/SPAN]

Amen brother! God knows it's discussed everywhere else ad-nauseum. What looked like a "juicy" thread with lots of posts ended up being a groaning, eye rolling, scroll-down fest.
