If you've read most of the stuff written by TMF staff...

you've wasted time that could have been spent productively removing lint from your belly button.

Anyone remember their old "Rule Breaker" and "Rule Maker" portfolios? Buy overpriced tech stocks soaring on momentum, because "this time it's different"! Oops, maybe not, let's close the ports and sweep them under the rug.

Of course, they did have some good advice, like "don't pay lots of money for those "hot stock tip" newsletters and subscription services. Unless, apparently, they're done by TMF: http://www.fool.com/shop/newsletters/04/in...230000&authed=n

I'm not saying everything they write is incorrect, and the author may have a good point or two, but in general, if I want good information on stocks, The Motley Fool's articles are going to be one of the last places I go.

And I still think that the Bankruptcy was preplanned in 1994 when the employees took massive paycuts with no raise for 10 years. I believe it is called area 51.......Mach .08 at Left Wing Heavy CG 860. And it wont take a year I said 6 Months. The only people that make out on this deal is the Credit Card Companies they get lots of interest every time you purchase a ticket WITH THEIR CARDS its worth Billions to them thats why they gave the loans to ual. Not because they had any faith in this MISMANAGEMENT Team. If all of uals customers paid in cash the loans would have never ever happened............... Good Luck And Invest in Pork Bellies.... UA projected the stock to open at $15. Pre-trading ran the price up to $40. Initial selling by some people profit taking drops the price to $34, and you claim the sky is falling. What a joke.

Here's some reality for you: The stock is still double UA's forcast.

Watch for it to settle in the mid to low $30's in the next few weeks, and then start it's climb as we enter the summer travel season.

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time dealing with the fact that UA not only survived but will prosper once again. I suggest some professional therapy to overcome your resentment. 😛

I just love all this talk about how B6 will just raise fares and everything will be OK because people will be willing to pay the price to fly their wonderful (all coach) airline.

What hypocricy! In the very recent past they were saying "it's the fares, stupid," and how people don't care about anything but getting from point A to point B at the cheapest price. (As long as they could stare mindlessly into a 5 inch satellite TV screen.)

We'll see what happens. But IMO prices will climb at B6 as well as every other airline. As B6 maybe breaks even, others who have learned to keep costs down and compete better will be profitable, and B6's loads will continue to decline.
