You are correct about TAM - a shock and somewhat telling. The known available 340-300s are relatively old compared to the 4-5 year old 340-500s that got away and likely would not be a good choice for China, HKG or beyond. The -300 would probably require weight restrictions to even PVG from PHL. I hope they don't go that route. There are no 340-500s currently listed for sale or lease, so a new mystery begins. AC sold its two A340-500s to TAM. So if we are geting any, it will be the A340-300s
