The nation was founded on a great many ideals and principles that I've no doubt you consider equally quaint, and clearly, can't even begin to comprehend. Your "point" is taken though, and thanks for making it obvious to all. It's clear that we can count on the obamanites to do nothing that isn't entirely self-serving, without any concerns for their effects on the actually decent people left in America, and will show not even the slightest respect to anyone outside their pathetic little cult/comissariat...well...unless they're illegal immigrants they're cultivating as future supporters, of course. 😉

The Obama administration purposely decided to erect the barricades to keep the public from visiting war memorials during the government shutdown.

These war memorials, such as the WWII memorial, are outdoor architectural structures in a park with no official entrance.
It took focused effort, under direction by the Obama administration, to block access to these memorials.

An anonymous park service official told the Washington Times that they had been ordered to “make life as difficult for people as we can” during the government shutdown.

Other senior citizens have been terrorized by federal agents during the shutdown. At the Yellowstone National Park last week, feds aggressively ordered elderly tourists to stay inside a hotel under armed guard.

Access to a memorial is so far down my list of crap to care about that it will be a while. Im more concerned about not sending them into harms when when not necessary. Making sure they have medical care when tbey come back broken.

So if you want to worry about access to a memorial when vets along with millions of others do not have access to health care then you go right ahead. Persoanlly I think that is pathetic but expected.

That comes as no surprise, since you're certainly not the type that's ever put your arse directly at risk and on the line for anything, and can't possibly understand what those memorials mean to others that have, and lost dear friends along the way. The rest of your rant's equally nonsensical, since the glorious guv-mint's already (at least supposedly) providing health care to veterans through the VA...which works so very well of course, that you feel all healthcare should be placed under government control. Seriously...words just fail me here.

"Sorry that you have cancer and no insurance, but no free rides here". Would you prefer the government determining who gets medical treatment, and just how much they're allowed? Do you, even CAN you, honestly imagine that all people will get unlimited health services just by magically waving some government wand? Guess again. Well..c'mon Jake...Just because the administration's so well-displayed it's touching concern for people in SO many ways...well; why not give 'em complete control over people's health care as well? 😉 Sorry.
