CHICAGO (Reuters) - One of the major unions at American Airlines, the transport workers, has suspended member voting on a proposed concession deal due to a dispute over what the two parties agreed, according to the union''s Web site.
We are in dispute with American Airlines Inc. over what was agreed to by our committees at the time of the tentative agreement, said James Little, director of the Air Transport Division for the union that represents 34,500 ground workers and mechanics at AMR Corp.''s (NYSE:AMR - News) American. Until such time that we have full text language available for our union members to review, we are suspending all voting.

Unless membership at all of American''s unions agree to the total $1.8 billion worth of cost concession packages put forth by their leadership, the world''s largest airline has said it will file for bankruptcy. It narrowly avoided a Chapter 11 filing last week by securing the packages from three major unions, but still faces a host of challenges.

APFA is meeting today to decide if they will allow vote changes. Its questionable because some people voted and up until last night there was no contractual language.

On the other side of that. It can be said they knew full well the language was not ready.

FEAR and FEAR alone? Oh my God.
