One Week off of the Nic Award/ ALPA-USAPA fight

I know I will get blasted for starting this, but my dear moderators, could we have just ONE WEEK of no Nic/ALPA-USAPA subjects? They start out intelligent and quickly blur into all the other us vs. them threads full of nothing but the same crap. No other threads divide our workforce like this one and always turns ugly. With the other subjects, most of us agree management is to blame. With this issue, it starts an evil, vile gateway to disrespect to one another for all of us...and yes me as well. Yes, I can ignore the post, but that's like driving by a car crash and not looking.

Just a suggestion and thought!

Why can't the pilots have their "discussions" in their own threads? Who are you to ask the mods to shut that down? In case you havent noticed, the disagreement betweeen the two pilot groups is LIFE- ALTERING. If you are not interested in the negativity, don't read the thread.

By your suggestion, all the whiny FA posts about PIT and food and seats and reserve and bid sheet etc.. should be deleted as well. Talk about a car crash.... 🙄

Oh calm down. I will agree that the f/a's do go on about the same stuff. THAT being the point so I will gladly go with you on that one. The difference being the pilot threads get way too personal.

OK, this one has gone far enough....

Folks, we know the issues at hand are emotional. We know everyone's upset. We encourage frank open discussions, but when they denigrate into personal sniping, that crosses the line, and will not be tolerated.

We are not going to close all ALPA threads for a week just because someone wants us to. However, if some of you insist on agitating and attacking each other, threads will be closed and the cornfield will get VERY crowded.

There are appropriate threads for each union and their respective issues and disputes each week. Do NOT rehash the same issue in the West thread that you discuss in the East thread--if that continues we will combine into one thread per union, and that will become hard to follow.
