LGA777....was NOT referring to heavy maintenance.....he was asking any AWA mechs a specific question about PAINTING......clearly different from heavy maint...Dont let the facts get in your way, and dont try to put words in other posters' mouths'.....GOOD DAY...

Painting is part of heavy mtc. Funny painting is done at MROs (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) and when PI painted it was done in the HEAVY Maintenance Hangar in INT.

Stop stalking, use ignore.

The last 10 737's to leave are going out in Jan-Feb.
The remainder of the 737's will be painted.

Incidently, the 757's cockpits are being redone completely right down to scraping and repainting the floor and overhead panels.
Even the old EA aircraft flight decks look like new.
They do an excellent job.

At one time HP did have a special paint hangar, read about it years back in ATW. At the time it was state of the art. Hopefully whoever does the work, the do it correctly!! Nothing worse than a bad paint job...i.e. U had a 400 flying around for a time where about an 10 ft section of paint peeled from the fuselage. dark blue then a big green square, really looked bad
