What I find desturbing is that AA is willing to buy off OSM's to get their contract passed, but is losing line mechs that are in their 40s with over 20 years experience and all sorts of qualifications all paid for by AA, to other airlines, our competitors!!!!!!

Delta opening up OH in Mexico is just free marketing going the way of globalization, which our politicians need to offer competitive tax breaks to companys like Delta, AA, UAL to keep these good jobs in the USA. Not like how the TWU is doing it by giving up pay from the workers to supplement other workers. IMO.

AA could have the money to do this with your concessions. Even with your new SRP or OSM, or whatever you call it now, AA will not be able to compete with the Mexican wages.

True indeed! Nor can we compete with Chinese wages. Outsourcing our overhauls to foreign repair stations should be stopped by executive order or by act of Congress. Unfortunately, we have not made enough noise.
