Now that the PBGC has taken over the pensions of UAL where does this leave Arpey and the unions at AMR?

Are the cost savings worth the price of continued falling morale? Will this give United the chance to turn profitable? Will this speed Uniteds exit from bankruptcy court and force them to compete on a level field?

The answer to all is a resounding No.
