I know that NW has transported a lot of sports teams on their aircraft.
Working at EWR, I get to see a lot of football teams coming and going (since the airport is the easiest one to come into). I don't get to see the baseball teams, because they usually go to LGA (which is closest to Shea - now Citi Field & Yankee Stadiums
I've seen the Vikings and Lions come in on NW a few times (forgot the aircraft, but it wasn't a Airbus though, one was a 747)
I've seen DL bring in the Falcons before (on a 767)
I know that the Miami Dolphins & the Dallas Cowboys use AA (757's) Just saw the Cowboys 2 weeks ago getting on their plane on the hardstand
The Giants used to have UA as their carrier (but we got the contract now, using 75's or 76's - depending on where they are playing). BTW: I actually got to see the Super Bowl winning Giants get of the United 767 earlier this year. Strangely enough, they marshalled the plane into Gate 17 where they took the stairs down to the waiting buses.
I know that we have the Yankees too (but they usually fly out of White Plains, not EWR) and the Devils too
I think DL has the Mets (since they are a major sponsor and have plenty of ad space at the old ballpark.
And I think the Cleveland Browns use us as their carrier (I think the Indians and Cavs do too -not very sure)
Of course the Astros use us whenever they fly out of IAH (I usually don't see them since they usually fly into LGA)
But Sat & Sun (whenever the Giants or Jets have a home game), I get the see the PA Police & the State Police escorting the buses to and from the hardstand(s) (for AA at Terminal A; and for NW and DL at Terminal B ) or for the Giants - at the Hangar. Unfortunately, I don't get to work those flights.......
But we do see a lot of NFL teams coming in to our airport though.
