I just came back from PHL and I dropped off my Niece. I always use the arrivals road and park in the garage. But today I went down the Departures just to drop her off. When did they put those blasted speed bumps in? And Why are they not marked in Yellow? I drove and hit the one, I thought I was going to be evil kneivel. Then I noticed they just had white stripes on. I haven't been down that way in a while, cause I use the garages and generally miss the traffic circus. I hit that bump and bang. I wasn't going that fast, just about 25-30, as I was on the outside lane.

I just want to warn everyone about them, they need to be painted yellow.

:cop: I'm pretty sure there is a sign just before you "hit" the first one at A West....

You're such a frequent flyer and you are JUST noticing the speed bumps?? They have been there for a long time....

I do not enter that way, I park in Garage via the Arrival Road, NOT DEPARTURES. And I always pull into Garage A entrance and park whatever terminal that I depart from. And I don't want to get started about exiting, go down, then up a level around the bends then down the shoot to the toll booths. PHL is just a f :censored: ed up airport. I just think those speed bumps should be painted with yellow markings, not the white that blend in with the lanes. As for a sign posted about them, I must have missed it, I knew I had to go to Terminal E, so I stayed over to the left till I got past D. But then its not just the airport roads that suck in Philly, its all the roads in the state.

You mean the 2x4 inch sign competing with the "airline at terminal", speed limit, "no stopping", "hiring TSA" and the "have a nice flocking day" signs? Oh yeah. and don't forget the "driving lessons by sound" drivers who either think turn signals are an option or something one turns on after they are safely esconsed in their new lane.

I have driven most of the country and would have to say that the signage and signals in PHL are probably conceived by committees staffed with political appointees, kids who cannot get jobs in the real world unless their politically connected daddies get them, just like the Bush Administration.

:cop: yup thats the sign, but I also think there is flashing lights as well!! 🙄 🙄

Please do not negate the whining about PA roads and signs with LOGIC!!! First USAir, then the airport, then the speed bumps, then the state roads and signs! Life is tough!

I think it's a conspiracy that can be somehow traced to Tempe.

Most definately!!!

The story I heard was that US Airways was "concerned" over the next time Parker and Kirby visited that they would be over run by throngs of "Admirers" for all of the "Fixes" they have done at US Airways.

Like the Rez Migration, Baggage Handling, Customer satisfaction and Employee morale to name but a few Tempe Triumphs.

When word got out about all of these accomplishments, Anthony Mule went to the city looking for assistance to control the projected throng of well wishers next time Parker visited. The speed bumps are part of Phase one.

I expect "A WALL" built down there next time just after you past the B-C Check-in area. Or at least a Drawbridge. And I'd drive right over the side. :stupid:

I know who to blame for those bumps, Milton Street. He figured that he would install them there to fix the baggage system problem down there. By installing them, he figured that the bags would fall out of the car and thus the passenger would have No Bags to lose. Presto, Baggage System fixed! :cop: :disguise:

Actually, if the speed bumps were glassbeaded, white shows up better at night.
