This morning my flight was delayed for over three hours because of heavy fog. but to make things worst the terminal monitors were not updated or incorrect, even the GA was getting eronious information from SHARES.

Granted the Fog can not be blamed on shares but the mis information and pax missing their flights should be. everything took much longer to do.

You can say that again. I was over at the F'd up terminal and my flight was posted as leaving at 9:45am when it actually was to leave at 12 and delayed until 2ish. What the hell is the deal with SHARES. I also tried to LIST for my flight on the HUB and I kept getting this "SHARES interface" crap or something. I called to list by phone. Honey have your pen and ear ready for when they ramble off that RLN. It's like p=0Q4TUNdfl.... I was like, "Huh". Anyway, there is NOOOOOOO reason to have SHARES problems this long into the migration. It cannot be blamed on a learning curve or resistance to change. It blows. Simple as that.

Sure SHARES blows, but do you honestly think at this point that the retards in Tempe would change back to SABRE to save what's left of the airline?

The mentality is that we will all eventually manage with it, and they will have been proven correct in their choice of RES system. Unfortunately for them, you can't run even the crappiest lawnmower without gasoline, or sharp blades, or a bit of motor oil and a good spark plug.

SHARES is basically a chassis with wheels and a handle.

To be frank, even if you had switched to Sabre, the West side would have had all sorts of issues. I've never seen a system conversion that is flawless or without a "breaking in" period. This is what you're going through now. Give it time, the bugs will be worked out and life will go on.

Just my point. The idea is that employees will simply manage with a cruddy RES system. They have been, and it's still not improving.

Trust me...if the west had adopted SABRE, the training and cheat sheets would more than make up for the learning curve. And there are far more east employees well-versed in SABRE to send west to help with training than vice-versa.

My wife was caught-up in that crap yesterday trying to go AVP-PHL-MKE. They sent her (and the group of 7 she was with) on an un-airconditioned bus to PHL while the flight they were supposed to be on departed and arrived there first! Then she ended-up dealing with a very rude and completely indifferent PHL ticket agent. (In five years of knowing her I've never seen my wife rude to anybody.) Eventually the whole group ended up on a Midwest 717 with roomy leather seats and chocolate-chip cookies. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the whole group was revenue passengers.

The bugs will will be worked out????This is more like an infestation.....Call the exterminators please.....Just for laughs heres what the lovely Qik system did for a pax yesterday...Had a pax who wanted to upgrade to the first row in envoy going to FCO....the charge is supposed to be $800.00 for the sleeper seats(now I have no control over the price it charges..the system took all control away from the agts)so I fill in all the pop-ups and lo and behold the price comes up at.......$250.00?????WHAT???? Where did that price come from??There isnt even a $250.00 charge in the mix...its 50,100,150 domestic....200 for caribbean and 500 or 800 for transatlantic...so what could I do but laugh shake my head and say "Miss Smith its your lucky day"

Then I told a co-worker and he laughed too because he had just up-graded someone to MXP and the QIK crap system charged his pax $300.00?????

Oh yea the bugs are getting worked out alright!!Stay tuned folks for some more amusing tales to follow when the transatlantic season really gets up and running...by the first week in June 20 count em 20 flts and a crazy possessed computer to deal with

I have, and they are nothing like this. Poor planing, worse execution, large mouths, smaller stomachs.

This is not a cutover thing. They screwed that up by most reasonable standards.

Did you see that a senior VP at JetBlue was fired today for their recent debacle? The Sandcastle is the same as CrystalCity, no-one is accountable or responsible. I believe they could care a less, as they have their goldenchutes packed as opposed to JB or SWA where management plans to stay and run an airline. Maybe Otis can retire and go and drink himself to-death on some tropical island?

Don't insult OTIS like that. At least he had a heart and knew better then to drink and drive. Hell, he check himself into the jail cell. Now THAT'S humility...something this management team wouldn't know about if it bit them on the nose.

Update: CNBC just reported the CEO at JetBlue himself has been canned. Wow! What a sharp contrast to this dump!

he was hardly canned...more like an early retirement to Chairman of the Board to make room for one of his buddies to start cashing in on the perks of being a CEO...

It looks like he was canned.
...NEW YORK, May 10 (Reuters) - JetBlue Airways Corp. (JBLU.O: Quote, Profile , Research) on Thursday pushed out founder David Neeleman as chief executive three months after a service meltdown...

$250 instead of $800, so that's $550 on the table ... but that's made up by the 25 cents/transaction savings! Wow, it takes only 2,200 transactions to break even on that one mis-price!
