First they take God out of school.

Next they take the Pledge and Flag.

Just the further destruction of America and the patriotism that we all grew up to learn and understand.

It disugsts me to see the disrespect for this nation and its national symbols. And we wonder why this nation is a total mess.

Turn you back on God and turn your back on the past. Then all we have left is the mistakes we don't learn from.

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands; one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

What is wrong with it? Why did it have to be altered?

There are people who live in this nation who do not believe in your god. Why is it so GD hard for you religious butt holes to grasp that simple concept. You can pray to your god when ever you want to. Go to your religious institution of choice, go home or do it in private when ever the little voices in your head tell you to. Just do not take up my time and don't waste time in public institutions tat are paid for with public funds.

This nation is a mess because of people who are preoccupied with shoving religion down peoples throats instead of actually dealing with the issues at hand. Stop being so preoccupied with who is screwing who in what ever orifice they choose to do it. If it does not directly involve you, then it is none of your GD business.

The COTUS provides that all people are treated equally. So since you wnt your god taught in school, I want Wicca, Hindu, Shinto, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism taught as well. I am sure NHB will want the various native religions taught as well, after all they were here first.

So instead of wasting all this time and money teaching all these various beliefs we just stick to the bsics like history, math, english and science and leave the religious stuff up to the family. After all, I thought the conservatives did not want government sticking their nose into family and personal affairs? Or is that only wen it is convenient?

I got news for you. You are the one who will need to deal with it. The US is becoming more diverse. There are more than just white christian guys ruing around. There are more and more people who do no believe as you do and we are not going to sit around quietly and let you ave your way.

I don't give a dam who uses religion. These days there are still enough religious whack jobs who believe if someone does not thank some god for what ever.

So I don't know what to tell you but we are not going to move and we are not going to shut up. We will continue to fight and we will continue to win. You had a free ride for 200 years and now we are fighting back. You want to pray to your god, knock your self out. You con go to the church of your choice, do it in your home, your friends home. You can even do it in school, work or where ever you want. But be advised, if you do it in public you do not have the to infringe on my time or space. Do so and we will see you in court and we will more than likely win as recent court cases have shown.

So if you don't like it ... well you can stay but you better learn to deal with it. It's a free country and we are not going anywhere. Deal with it.

BTW, why not bless the world? You think your god wants to help someone who does not care about others? World has over 6 billion people and you are only concerned about 300 million of them? Yea, I am sure your god really likes that.

Last I checked we are a Christian country, with christian values its been that way for a long time.

IMHO I'm not bothered by people who want to say to Pledge or even sing "God Bless America" at sporting events. However, personally when saying the pledge I want the right to say it without the "under God" reference. When I go to sporting events where "God Bless America" is sung I will stand and join in simply singing "I Love America" in place of "God Bless America". So long as no one gives me s--t about the way I do these I have no problem (my significant other is Wiccan and I feel bad making religious references). The problem is my actions often incur the wrath of the "Christian Nation" crowd who have a 'my way or the highway' mentality and feel the need to harass me for making the choices that I do. I've also read reports of people being forced to stand for "God Bless America"(Yankee Stadium and the Newark Bears) or being ejected from the game. While I understand there were Christian underpinnings to this country it is obvious the founding fathers wanted people to be free to worship whatever god they believed in. Forcing people to recite the pledge or stand for religious songs is to some degree forcing religion on people. Perhaps if the Christians were not so pushy to force others to participate in their rituals perhaps there will be more tolerance on the part of non-believers (think two-way street).

Why was the judge in the south punted when he would not remove his stone 10 commandments. Check the law and all the judgments that have come down over the last 40 -50 years. Why do you think you religious nut jobs are all in a tizzy over this? You're loosing case after case. It started in the 60's. Try looking at Engel v. Vitale, 1962, Murray v. Curlett, 1963 and Abington Township School District v. Schempp, 1963. It's been down hill for you ever since. Santa Fe Independent School District v. Doe, is another more recent case upholding the law banning prayer in school.

I am American. Born here and I have no interest in leaving so you might was well take that wish and stick it some place. As I said before, you can pray when ever the voices in your head tell you to. Do it at home, a friends house, while your driving, eating or screwing. Pray while you're taking a leak or a dump. Pray while you are fixing your car, waiting for a bus, waiting for a doctor. One simple little reason. This nation was founded on Freedom OF Religion, not freedom FROM religion.
