unfortunately the new us airways is based on a poor foundation. the treatment of employees in a fair and equitable maner was agood mantra...bt as they say the proof is in the pudding....example...involuntary furloughed f/s agts have not been recalled rather the new mgmt hs elected to hire off the street rather then honor its commitment to its employees,they have treated employees as union members rather then employees...it is a slap in the face to every employee who was lied to and furloughed not by senority but by their self intrest in becoming a lcc...everyone wants to become succesful as wn is but they ignore that wn success has been built by its employees....parker would be wise to dump hemenway,creelin and that moron jerry glass

Everything is not going to work perfectly for everyone. Since we are two different airlines until next may, things don't work as easily if we were all one right now.

The east furloughs may not have liked the offer to come over to AWA, and I can truly understand that. I don't know if I would like it. And yet, an offer was made.

I agree.......I saw it coming when they screwed the retirees and many thought it was OK. The character of this airline is short-sighted........... 🙁

YEP. It could all be so simple. Yet a bunch of clueless "pencil-pushers" sit around makin these policies up! Totally clueless to the realities of what the "little guy" deals with on a daily basis. They sit around reading their "reports" and "spreadsheets" yet don't have a clue.

Go work the ATO a few days. Better yet, go work baggage service during times like this last weekend when more than 1/2 of every plane back east left bags off! Take the baggage fon calls and explain to the pax why it's been more than 2 days since their bag arrived at their ato, but no delivery has taken place. Talk to irates because we screwed them on their connections and nothing out of their city for 3 days. Talk to passengers frustrated after earning miles that they can never fly with those miles they earned because it's never available. Talk to agents at the ato who have to be spit in the face, called names, and literally thrown up on at times from a drunk pax. Get into the game of what the true airline employee deals with day in and day out. Work a WEEKEND for the first time in your life!!!! Stay up past midnite sorting thru 100's of bags, or trying to find hotels in a sold-out city for passengers misconnecting. I'm sure other workers here could add more. Bottom line...come do our job just one week and see how bad passengers are treated by employees, but also how much employees have to take from irate passengers. Not fun for $8 an hour!!! Oh, btw...any corp people on here...could you live for 3 months on $8 an hour? AND put up with the stress of being humiliated and yelled at day in and day out?!!!

I don't work in corporate, but I would not work for $8 an hour either. Why do you? It seems like you really don't like your job. I understand that your job and pay have changed, but complaining will get you nowhere. So what are you going to do now?

Maybe take out a educational loan and go to the Mesa Jet College in Farmington NM. With only 250 hours total time you can be a first officer on a jet airliner earning $14-21 per hour. Think of the prestige!

Then dont work, just observe. If they really wanted to know what happens, they could get an exemption from the unions for an observation/work weekend, but we all know that isnt going to happen. 😛h34r:

It's OVER, much as it pains me to say it. Time to face it, deal with it and make a business decision as to what's best for you individually.

The bitterness only hurts YOU! Doesn't hurt me, not to be mean but the Gin & Tonic is still cold and free. DP still has a bonus and you spend more money on Tums because of bitterness.

The ship sailed without me because I did get off the boat. I had seen enough evidence that Doug had been untruthful with the PHX people that I could see the writing on the wall and didn't like what I saw and that I would not enjoy working under the conditions I could see that were coming.

Since the time I left I have been much happier except for having left good friends/co-workers behind.

Bob, as for not affecting you I suggest you review some of the messages you and other FFOCUS folks have posted that sure as heck seemed like gripes to me.

I recently read an article about good successful companies and what makes them that way…â€￾Innovationâ€￾ was the key…not cut this, cut that.

Maybe we could bring the collapsible first class seat back..?? Please someone run this airline…!! FAST..!!

You guys give GREAT customer service but if it ain't working I understand and I encourage you to make a new life for yourself.

Why wait them out?? Based on your posts, it sounds like you're just gonna complain about the next round of jokers as well.
