Multiple news outlets are reporting mass migration of folks from the island, to specifically Greater Orlando due to the very bad financial situation.
This presents a multitude of problems for the Florida GOP, and the national election, and florida's large number of electoral votes.

Orlando (area) Especially, is the Strongest GOP Stronghold in the state via population numbers.  It seems that...' THAT '  is changing Rapidly, making Florida's shade of 'Purple' taking on a Much Darker Hue.  Should Florida join a state like New Hampshire, that to this day is Still Not a solid Blue State, this will be a MAJOR (bad) Turning point for the party that is the Most out-of-touch with the 50.1 % of voters that in fact DO vote in upcoming elections.

OH  BOY  !!!!!

Can we give 'em a bus pass to New Hampshire?
Nope, they want to move to the Atlanta area and become ready reserve.

As usual, Bears thinks in binary fashion, thus all Latinos vote Democrat.

Since PR citizens don't pay Federal income tax, those who move here are going to be slammed much harder by the taxation, and that could very well have them leaning towards conservatives than progressives.

Jeb Bush won the PR community vote when he was governor.

Many Puerto Ricans who have moved to the States in recent years have voted for Republicans who support statehood for Puerto Rico. More Puerto Ricans who have moved to the States in recent decades have moved to Florida than to other States. Governor Jeb Bush, a statehood advocate, won a majority of the Puerto Rican vote.

Many Puerto Ricans share Republican values. Mitt Romney said, “Those people who don’t think that Latinos will vote for a Republican need to take a look in Puerto Rico.” He was referring to the national Republicans in Puerto Rico’s statehood party, its largest local party. Many political analysts also point out that Puerto Ricans tend to be socially conservative compared with Democrats in the existing States. And, of the three current voting members of the U.S. House born in Puerto Rico, one is a conservative Republican.
Forbes is even touting PR as a tax haven for those wanting to keep their US citizenship...

Yes indeed...those Puerto Ricans don't pay these  horrendeous US federal taxes....their rate (according to the Forbes article) is just 4%.  And from everything I've read from the Laugher devotees....low taxes drive economic growth.  So how IS that economy down in Puerto Rico?
