Ramp worker accident PHL

Let me also add my condolences to his family and coworkers. Mama

How about a moment of silence across the system. At 1:00PM eastern time we should all stop what we are doing for 1 minute and reflect on our loss.
Joe, I'll do that and add 23 hours and 59 minutes... I can handle being away from here for a day. At least a 1 minute time out is good. Perhaps others will follow, nice idea. Thanks

Damn.

Let this be a clarion call to all of us who work on the ramp....

A. Be careful/aware. Rushing to make on time isn't worth your life. Ever.

B. Along with that, if your equipment isn't safe, RED TAG IT!

+1 to EVERYTHING Kev has said here.
Also to all my brothers & sisters in PHL & to this co workers family. I'm deeply saddened to hear of this loss & my thoughts and prayers go out to each and everyone of you.

First of all, Prayers and condolences to the family of the 22 year old co-worker. We are alway's exposed to possible situations of danger, when this happens it brings us to reality. God Bless and keep him and his family in your prayers.

Deepest sadness.

I suck at words, so I'll use those. They match my feelings as well as they do USCREW.

I like this idea too. Call me crazy, but I think if we can get a Fleet Senior Director aboard we can make this happen too. One minute of the operation would be worth it. While I don't think we NEED a Sr. Dir, I believe it would be of tremendous help. With one of them pushing I think it would be entirely practical to have EVERY Fleet Service agent on duty at that time doing this, and probably pretty much everyone else there, be it CSRs, management, crews, MX...

MODS...how about out of respect for this lost soul you take the US forum offline @ 13:00 for a moment of silence..

Does anyone know what exactly happened, and why the cart/tractor flipped over? I am so sorry to hear of this tragedy. I heard the news from our AFA website in PHX. Please know the fa's in PHX and elsewhere, are praying for the family. God bless... 🙁

I would like to add my condolences to the family friends and colleagues of this person. PLEASE be safe out there....

I am going to put in a prayer request at our church. While a very tragic situation, my suggestion is to turn mourning into a celebration of life. It helps get through tough times.

I echo what everybody else said. This is very tragic, and a sobering wake-up call for all of us to not take the little things so seriously.

Everybody go home tonight and hug their kids, spouses, and pets.
