Sitting here thinking....We have all learned about conquer and divide. Why not let IAM, IBT and AMFA merge into one mega union with locals but not legislative locals. All combined would rule only on grievences and international would rule all airlines....Let's call it the International Brotherhood of Fraternal Machinists. Just a joke but...If you think about it....No more messin" with the profession...

I'll bet after all the rules you guys have to learn and all the manuals you study.....you really have had more of an education than the dummies who slide to the top...

Think of all the clowns we have listened to....Do you ever sit there and say...What the heck....were you born yesterday........YOU ARE SO KNOWING....I have learned so much....bring in a new guy...same old thing...

This Is What I have Been trying to Say FOR Years,We Need to Become More UNIONIZED not Always Divided.Yes Great Post This Will Not Get Alot Of Attention Because We All Have AXXES to Grind and We Are Good At fighting Among our selves,MANAGEMENT Love's The Fight Because it Takes the HEAT off There Battles and Provide's Mistake Relief. So IBT & IAM & AMFA,KEEP on Fighting That is What The RICH PEOPLE like To see,It Make's them Look Real SMART. ME

there was a plan afoot a few years ago to merge IAM,IAW and IBT i think......but somehow it went the way of the edsel....

Hmmmm...........this is actually a very good idea. The times they are a changin'. I can see the union executives not wanting to lose there power or high pay (understandable). The unions will have to learn to be flexible. That's not going to be easy. 🙂
