Unless I was being sarcastic, I never admit that, because I know better. I think you were the one, with others, that concluded we were one and the same. Apparently, fire... works for your airline and has too much time on his/her hands!

Signals/firedougparker, I stand corrected, I meant to say you admitted you are one in the same on your thread entitled: Job Loses From US AA Merger, on page one, comments 1 thru 5.

I could care less if you work in the industry as long as it is not for US. I would not want you anywhere near my aircraft, even if you were a passenger.

Ahh, but then we are in total agreement, except I don't believe I admitted that I was your US employee. But whatever makes you feel good 🙄

I wouldn't come near yours or any other white flag aircraft, because I may be a lot of things, but I'm not a Kettle 😛

I see videos & fliers popping up announcing a teamster card drive on US. Whats the actual sentiment on the floor there?

It wont go anywhere, if the IAM goes so does the pension.

Thinking that few hundred a month won't kill most....used to threaten members with the "strike fund"....getting as bad as the politicians...why not try and get something for the members rather than threating them?

It isnt a threat, its reality, if you arent an IAM member you cant be in the IAMNPF.

Go ask the UA guys, they want to dump the IBT.

And no IBT represented airline does their own heavy in-house.

Thinking what will happen is that the monies invested into the IAM pension will be transferred into the IBT Pension and members should receive credit for earned years? As for USAirs "Heavy"...judging by the number of aircraft currently in heavy being done in-house vs vendor......I would love to see the math on how the 50% ratio is figured out and who benifits from the "billable hours"?

The guys in MTC training won't dump the IAM, cos their pension is actually worth something. The M&R pension is nothing compared to theirs, it's only a few years old and is only a few hundred a month each right now.

The money already given to the IAM pension will stay there, it won't transfer. I wouldn't want to jump to the teamsters from the IAM (more of the same) and their pension is in trouble from what I've read.
