How does NW handle retiree travel? Hopefully, the new company will take the best plan of both and make it effective as soon as possible.

Northwest retirees travel is unlimited, but does have a service charge.
Pass code is 5R, so we are boarded after any 2/3/5 active employess, but
have priority over 5W

I believe and hope that through the merger, service charges will be dropped, children will be able to travel with no age determination.
Can anyone clarify if retirees parents are able to travel? At NW currently parents loose pass privleges
upon retirement.
Also, do retirees get buddy passes?

Delta escapee's have unlimited travel for emp, spouse and parents. Children have unlimited service charge.
We get buddy passes also, but it's usually cheaper to buy a ticket on Southwest than buy a buddy pass and be put at the bottom of the stack of non-revs.

I was hoping of parity with active employees, like UA has. Hell, even 1 or 2 a year would be nice.
