Retirement

BB
Congrats on your retirement. I have enjoyed your posts and insight for years. I always knew you were originally PI ...it was in the gentlemanly way you wrote. I hope you enjoy retirement. You are a class act...

I can not put into words what being on those last 2 flights meant to me last night. I have to confess on final into CLT last night I had a few tears in my eyes. Jim handled it better than me.
I am also humbled that Jim requested that I be in the family picture.
God bless you Jim & happy birthday.

Jim:

Congratulations on a fine career, have a Happy Birthday today, and enjoy your well-deserved retirement.

Jim,

Best wishes for a happy and healthy birthday, and nothing but clear skies ahead.

It's an honor and privilege to count you as a friend, and I was honored to be along for your last legs in command of the 737.

I will look forward to seeing you again real soon!!

Best wishes,

Art

Wishing you a Happy Birthday Jim!!!!! Enjoy....

Happy Birthday Jim, and welcome to the otherside.

Congratulations for reaching the greatest part of the rest of your life! I enjoyed ALL your insightful, intelligent, rational postings on this forum, and look forward to your signing on for many more...take a couple days... B)

...best to you, my friend for always. All eyes on you...Cheers!

Ironically, we were on N406US last evening... the first 737-400 delivered by Boeing to PI. It was also the only 400 named... the Thomas H. Davis Pacemaker.

More pictures have been posted on the FFOCUS website. Look for the link below the group picture... and then select the album "Boeing Boy's Last Hurrah".

Godspeed, BoeingBoy. If there ever was an argument for doing away with the mandatory retirement rule, it's you. I can hardly add anything to what others have said regarding your participation on this board. Hope to see your posts often in the future. I've learned a lot about the airline industry from reading your posts.

Thanks for posting all the great photo's, made me feel like I was on this fun trip. And while yes N406US was the first 737-400 delivered to Piedmont it was also the first 737-400 delivered to any airline in the world period as Piedmont was the launch customer for the 737-400 so an historic aircraft in deed.

Well BB, you've got several "handles"(Boeing Boy....JIM), but I shall use the MOST fitting of all, and that is ...."CAPTAIN" !

I doubt If you can see me(thru our computers), but I'm snapping you a GREAT, and WELL DESERVED ...SALUTE !

In the Native American world(especially LAKOTA), there is NO word for Good bye !!

So I shall simply say,..
..."until our paths cross again..Be well,and thank You............"C A P T A I N" !!
