I love the fact that he endorsed Gingrich who is an admitted adulterer who was divorced his first wife while she was dieing of cancer and he was cheating on his second wife for 6 years and divorced her while she was being diagnosed with MS.

Rick Perry Drops Out Of 2012 Presidential Race Ahead Of South Carolina Primary

Texas Gov. Rick Perry dropped out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination on Thursday ahead of South Carolina's primary election.

Perry addressed his decision to abandon his campaign at a press conference in North Charleston. He said he came to the conclusion that there was no longer a "viable path" forward in the contest and added that he knows when it's "time to make a strategic retreat."

So Long Ricky, We hardly knew ya!

I'm kind of sad to see him go. I think if he had found his voice politically a little sooner he might have been a real contender. You could also tell IMO that he was uncomfortable with his "Handlers" as he often looked and sounded like he was being given a script. This would explain the gaffe's that plagued him.

Thanks a lot, Republican primary voters. Now, he's going to come back and play governor in Texas for another year. Why couldn't you keep him occupied on the campaign trail until his term ran out (or almost...then he could pull a Sarah Palin and resign before the end of his term). You have no sympathy for the people of Texas.

P.S. Sparrow Hawk, the gaffes that plagued him are the result of not having a clue as to what he is talking about. If he gets beyond "evil communist Democrat", or "we need to cut taxes for the wealthy", he gets confused. He still hasn't explained to any school district in Texas how they are going to implement the new school funding act which requires that they layoff no one, fire no one, or increase class sizes even though he led the effort to reduce school funding by $4 billion in order to balance the state budget. All he crows about is that they didn't raise taxes.
