Maybe any of the many who were escorted off the premises at WHQ today would be able to share any of the details?

I simply cannot believe that such an 'employee' focused management team would be so heartless.
Surely your information must be incorrect.

I got to work Wednesday afternoon, and security was at every door at WH, err... the OPC (Whatever the F those jackoffs call it now. The Elk Grove Village place). Anyway, I heard from a coworker who knew someone laid off that as soon as they got to their desk, their manager told them. Then security escorted them to their cars and off the property. Very callous and no opportunity for a buyout. Word is they are targeting older, high-seniority people. The person above was with United for 32 years.

As far as I know, SAM are not being offered a buy-out or furlough package. It is a straight layoff. Give me your badge, have a nice day. So convenient that it happens during UAL Corp's shareholder meeting.
 
Anyone think the VP of Customer Experience will get escorted away? Despite the continued last place DOT rating in complaints?

How about the VP of Employee Experience? :down:
 
Graham Atkinson (EVP & Chief Customer Office) and Srisu Subrahmanyam (VP-Continuous Improvement) were both terminated.

Many SAM expected to get their severence paperwork tomorrow, and more will follow over the next two weeks.

That's probably why he was let go.
