My Shop Steward tells me that Sam Cirri and Mike McDonald have nominated John Hewitt for an open International Executive Board position/appointment.

Don't expect anyone will be seeing a ballot to the membership on this matter.

Congratulations Hewitt, being an International Puppet always pay off for those that conform.

You will be well taken care for life now, at the expense of the profession and your Union Brothers and Sisters.

The two open spots are the result of a lawsuit won by a L100 member who was put in Bad Standing for late dues payment and prevented from running for a spot at the Convention. It was discovered two other candidates, who own, were also late, thus should have been in bad standing as well. The nomination meeting was yesterday. The Election is July 2, delegates from the convention will get ballotts.

While Tulsa is a large Local in the AA sytem they are not that big when looking at Local 100, with 38000 members. Since the spots that were vacated by Local 100 members my guess is Local 100 will be fielding candidates to fill those spots, so from the start its 38000 to 6000. In the ATD many of the other airlines call it the AATD. SWA took a hit as far as ATD members with Gwen Dunivent and Portia Reddick being among those laid off, while pretty much all the AA stayed in place so who knows where they will land.

at some point we as a group have to figure out a new direction....if the problem is in Tulsa, DFW or whatever (not saying it is in Tulsa) if this is true we again AS A GROUP need to make a change.

THIS POST IS NOT MEANT TO START AN O/H LINE DEBATE. simply as a comment that when is enough, enough for the masses?
