Sarah Palins #1 Best Seller

So...we should legislate morality? Is lack of sexual morals in your area still illegal? Was it worth $80 million to "go after" someone who lacked morals?

For lying under oath? You betcha!

Was the 80 mil that was spent investigating a blow job (the lack of morals that many men still seem to enjoy) so the Clinton could "lie under oath" well spent then? We spent very little AFTER his lying under oath...we spent a boatload of money trying to find something for him to lie under oath about. And y'all dug much much deeper on him than anybody ever did on poor Sarah.

well... I think a good idea for a politician would be.. at least.. keep their morals in check during the term of their office.

is that asking to much?

probably so!

well..unfortunately some seem to skip over that part.

and it comes across a little silly while she (you know who) was chatting up the phone lines spilling all the dirt!

and then was up there trying to sell her purse
line after the fact..

(bless her heart for trying to make a living though.. cant fault her for that!)

But if they don't...what are the circumstances that would justify spending $80 million to investigate that offense?

Could you tell me how much we spent AFTER Clinton "lied under oath"? I am guessing that the bulk of the $80 million was spent BEFORE that. That being the case, is spending that much justified to investigate a persons sex life?

all I can tell you is the situation that created the mess should have never occurred in the first place.

who is responsible for that?

(the whole situation was 100 percent completely avoidable)

lack of morals and lies created that particular situation.

I would personally feel a little more comfortable with a politician who at minimum
has a moral compass.

(obviously that doesnt seem to be a priority here anymore)

So your answer is "yes"...you'd approve of an eighty million dollar "investigation" into a persons sex life, but you do not want to pay a nickle more towards social programs?

if someone lies under oath more than likely they are going to be investigated.

For crying out loud they threw Martha in the slammer chatting about selling some stock!

uh yeah, they are going to spend money to investigate!

(know what Im saying?)

but you do not want to pay a nickle more towards social programs?
so would you like to see..

"Cash for Clunkers" the sequel?

WOOT WOOT ??

Trouble was...he was heavily investigated BEFORE he 'lied under oath'. THAT is the part YOU GUYS seem to forget. I'll refresh your memory by setting a timeline

Clinton Says "So help me God" and the Whitewater investigation begins.
May 1993 - Travelgate is investigated
1993 - Troopergate is investigated
July 1993 - Vince Foster's "murder" is investigated
August 1994 - Ken Starr impaneled to investigate whitewater
September 1997 - Linda Tripp tapes Monica talking about Clintons sex life - Starr investigates
August 1998 - Clinton commits perjury when questioned about oral sex
November 13 1998 - Clinton Settles with Paula Jones
December 1998 - Clinton Impeached
February 1999 - Clinton acquitted.

This is what your $80 mil bought you...how much of it was spent in the 6 months between August 1998 and February 1999?

a lot of the problems we are facing today are a result from that administration and realized today..the mere idea some still try to shift responsibility for their part creating today's fiasco is simply unbelievable.. that is the part most dont want to remember!

Exactly who's moral compass are we going to use? Should we use W Bush who thinks it's OK to lie to the American people to justify a war? Clinton who thinks it is OK to cheat on his wife and have an extra marital affair? Ginrich who thinks it's OK to go after the POTUS for getting a hummer while he him self is having an affair with his secretary?

Morals are fluid. Everyone has morals that are a bit different form someone else's. I do not agree with everything you say and I know you do not agree with damn near anything I say so who will get screwed by this moral compass that you want to install?

As fa as I am concerned, I care less about ones moral compass than I do about their stand on the law and the COTUS. Cheat on your wife all you want. It's not against the law so what ever parties are involved can deal with it them selves. Violate the law or your oath of office, now you have my attention. You want to change the law to enforce a certain moral code that you have? Now you have my attention. You get dressed in leather and like to have your secretary whip you? Knock your self out. None of my business and I don't care.

well how about good manners since "morals are out of the question"?

that is sort of the problem anymore, no one really could care less! you are going to see a change that people are not going to keep accepting this idea..

"oh well its no big deal as long as they are a Democrat"...

Violate the law or your oath of office, now you have my attention.
that is more than likely the issue people had the real problem with, and should have!

but when people are lying and cheating and they happen to be in office, they are more than likely pulling a multitude of stunts at the same time..

honesty and a moral compass or at least a sense of having that..

matters!

(that is probably another reason, morals.. why she is now number one..)

You mean that war that the UN and congress sanctioned based on military and intelligence data?

Morals are fluid.
Only in a liberals world perhaps. Kinda like what the definition of what "is" is? lol
Which is worse the act or the lie under oath to the american public?
