I absolutely ADORE Sarah Palin! I DO NOT want her to run for President. Why?

She needs more "seasoning/experience". IMO 2016 should be her time or even 2020 depending upon what happens in 2012.
Due mostly to the most savage MSM witch hunt I've witnessed in 40 years she has negatives in the polling data that will be near impossible to overcome.
Now that she has more experience she seems to delight in taunting the media and using their hatred of her to get her message out. She generates so much free publicity as a non candidate that this is where he value lies. Her ability to attract a throng of citizens and MSM is probably worth a few hundred million in campaign contributions.
Fund raising wise she's a rainmaker.

I have this little fantasy that Herman Cain wins the nomination and Sarah is out campaigning and raising money for him and some dolt from the MSM asks a racially tinged question about Cain and Obama, to which she turns and fires back, "What our black man isn't black enough for you?" and then reals off the laundry list of Obama failures while contrasting it to Cain's building of a company. Just the thought of this makes me want to tweet a picture of my loins to someone.

You wanna play that game? Game on sucka's!

Maybe she missed that class while she was visiting our North Korean allies.

No $5/Gallon gas with Palin unlike the current empty suit. Far as I'm concerned she can think Paul Revere warned the British all day everyday. Because when you look at what she did in Alaska with the oil companies and the fact that every resident of AK gets a royalty check compared to the buffoon currently in the White House throwing the economy into a tailspin by incurring unsustainable debt to pay back his supporters in the name of social justice

Social Justice in the world of Obama Lama Ding Debt means:

I make $125,000 per year, Obama takes $25,000 of it and gives $5,000 each to three single mothers via EITC and takes the remaining $10,000 and pays off his contributors with 8000+ earmarks. Social Justice my left ass cheek!

Wow! I thought Alaskans got those royalty checks for many years. Didn't know that Palin started that program.

Of course, the Alaska Permanent Fund was established in 1976, when Sarah was 12 years old. And the first dividend checks were distributed when she was a senior in high school.

But, I have no doubt, she takes full credit for the entire thing. And morons like you proliferate that nonsense.

Actually she did some form of renegotiation for a better deal. Let me research it a bit as I don't know every detail. I do know that while this was going on some ultra right wing types call her a "Liberal" which is mildly amusing.

I found it already.

Windfall tax lets Alaska rake in billions from Big Oil

While Congress and the presidential candidates debate the wisdom of a windfall tax on oil companies, Alaska has already imposed one, hauling in billions of dollars in new revenue for the state treasury.

By Ángel González and Hal Bernton

Seattle Times staff reporters

A wealthy state
Most of Alaska's oil production comes from land owned by the state — and leased to the oil companies that look for and extract the crude. But some of the most significant undeveloped resources are in areas owned by the federal government, such as the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge and federal waters in the outer continental shelf. Revenue from oil production there would go mostly to the U.S. Treasury, but the state could claim a small part of it, according to state Department of Revenue officials.

Alaska's oil windfallby the numbers
$6 billion

Estimated revenue collected by state of Alaska from new tax on oil profits this fiscal year.
$10 billion

Estimated total oil revenue collected by state this year (old plus new oil taxes).
$1,200

Special payment to each Alaskan resident this year from new oil tax.
$2,000

Estimated annual dividend each Alaskan will receive this year from oil-wealth savings account, not counting the new oil tax.

How the windfall tax works
The tax is imposed on the net profit earned on each barrel of oil pumped from state lands, after deducting costs for production and transportation.

The tax is set at its highest rate in Prudhoe Bay, where the state takes 25 percent of the net profit of a barrel when its price is at or below $52.

The percentage then escalates as oil prices rise over that benchmark.

Things worked out far differently in the GOP stronghold of Alaska, a state whose economic fate is closely tied to the oil industry.

Over the opposition of oil companies, Republican Gov. Sarah Palin and Alaska's Legislature last year approved a major increase in taxes on the oil industry — a step that has generated stunning new wealth for the state as oil prices soared.

Can you guarantee that there will be no $5 a gallon gas under a President Plain? No you can't, to say otherwise is just plain delusional. If a President had the kind of control over oil prices you seem to think he has then there would have been no $4 a gallon gas in 2008 under Bush. Nor would there be high gas prices now under Obama.

If Palin were to become President in 2012 and let’s say Saudi Arabia would to erupt into civil war like Libya where to you think oil prices would go? What could President Palin do about it? A whole lot of nothing.

Thos oil royalty checks you speak of have nothing to do with Plain. They have been around for years in Alaska.

WRONG! Check the article I just found.

I can't guarantee a thing. However I do know that mere mention of implementation of a plan to achieve energy independence and in essence "Drill Baby Drill" will lower the price of oil almost immediately. By how much?? no idea as people far brighter than I disagree and I've seen numbers as low as $30/bbl.

Our economy is strangled by debt and hidden inflation that was incurred by the direct intervention of Barack Obama, The empty suit is on record as favoring higher gas prices.

BUSH is dead politically and no amount of blame mongering will change the fact we are in the soup due to the direct actions of the CURRENT Empty Suit.

Herman Cain was quoted today saying "Barack Obama is qualified to run one of my pizza joints" I can't find the article now but I will.

Obama is a failure by every measurable standard, the sooner this scar upon the land is excised the better off we the people will be. Frankly I vote for a harp seal over him as at least the Harp Seal is cute and cuddly looking and since it's not human it can't speak or come up with more stupidity. 70 plus years of the Soviet Socialist model that failed and this recto-cranial inversion hasn't learned a thing and now thanks to him we are on the verge of joining the USSR on the political dung heap of former world powers.

Who needs to be schooled?

MEDIA CAUGHT IN ANOTHER SMEAR

Palin Did Not Misspeak on Paul Revere

Those quibbling with Governor Palin’s statements have their history incomplete. During Paul Revere’s ride he was stopped by British soldiers, which Revere recounts in a 1789 letter maintained by the Massachusetts Historical Society, in his original language:

I observed a Wood at a Small distance, & made for that. When I got there, out Started Six officers, on Horse back, and orderd me to dismount;-one of them, who appeared to have the command, examined me, where I came from,& what my Name Was? I told him. it was Revere, he asked if it was Paul? I told him yes He asked me if I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River, and that There would be five hundred Americans there in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up. He imediately rode towards those who stoppd us, when all five of them came down upon a full gallop; one of them, whom I afterwards found to be Major Mitchel, of the 5th Regiment, Clapped his pistol to my head, called me by name, & told me he was going to ask me some questions, & if I did not give him true answers, he would blow my brains out. He then asked me similar questions to those above. He then orderd me to mount my Horse, after searching me for arms.He then orderd them to advance, & to lead me in front. When we got to the Road, they
turned down towards Lexington. When we had got about one Mile, the Major Rode up to the officer that was leading me, & told him to give me to the Sergeant. As soon as he took me, the Major orderd him, if I attempted to run, or any body insulted them, to blow my brains out. We rode till we got near Lexington Meeting-house, when the Militia fired a Voley of Guns, which appeared to alarm them very much.

Upon being stopped, did Revere, in essence, warn the British soldiers of the colonists’ plans? Yes. The strawmen built by the media seems to almost indicate that Revere rode through the streets warning the British soldiers. In actuality, simply put, Paul Revere told Regulars of the colonists’ plans during his attempt to warn the colonists of the Regulars approach (Revere actually said, “the Regulars are coming!”. The colonist still viewed themselves as British subjects at the time and would not have said, “the British are coming”.)

Additionally, as the Paul Revere Heritage Project notes, Revere had reason for concern that the colonists’ arms would be taken away as they questioned the location of the militia’s ammunition.

The Redcoats had set temporary roadblocks as a security measure and on their way to Concord they encountered British soldiers. Prescott managed to escape; Revere was captured and Dawes tried to run away but was arrested shortly thereafter. The British held Revere and interrogated him with a pistol on his chest. He was asked about the plans of the militia and where they kept their ammunition. When asked where the Patriots were hiding he told them the truth and replied that they had 500 militiamen in Concord protecting them and 1500 coming. As they rode towards Concord he was told that if he tried to escape he would be shot.

There were no claims by Governor Palin that Paul Revere’s ride had anything to do with the 2nd Amendment as some spuriously claim. She simply indicated the immediate concern of Revere and the colonists. It appears that the media once again fail to grasp the history of our Founding again. You may recall that the media were in an uproar when Governor Palin encouraged Tea Partiers to party like it’s 1773, and the media claimed she didn’t know her Revolutionary War history. Oops. Governor Palin stated that this “One Nation” bus tour would, in part, draw attention to America’s founding and history. It looks like she is doing just that.

Unemployment down.

Stock market up.

Are those measurable standards?

Are you seriously that stupid? Stocks tanked this week and unemployment rate went up. So yes those are measurable standards.

Unemployment down.

Stock market up.

Are those measurable standards?

Stock Market? Not a good measurement as it often responds to bad news. Here's a few numbers to ponder

The DJIA first hit 14,000 points on 07-16 - 2007- Must have been Bush's Fault eh?

The DJIA last traded at 12151.26- Up from where? nowhere near the 14,000 plus under that evil idiot savant George W. Bush. Interestingly enough some of the greatest gains in the stock market occurred during the Great Depression

Five Best Single Month Performances (in %)
1932-08, +35.76%
1933-04, +31.95%
1932-07, +25.79%
1938-06, +24.26%
1933-05, +20.53%

Moving right along to unemployment. Here are the numbers from the last full year under the evil George W Bush.
January 2008 - 4.9%
February 2008 - 4.8%
March 2008 - 5.1%
April 2008 - 5%
May 2008 - 5.5%
June 2008 - 5.6%
July 2008 - 5.8%
August 2008 - 6.2%
September 2008 - 6.2%
October 2008 - 6.6%
November 2008 - 6.8%
December 2008 - 7.2%

Under Bush the all time high is 7.2%. Soooo let's compare the Evil one to the Empty Suit shall we?

Unemployment Rates in 2009
January 2009 - 7.6%
February 2009 - 8.1%
March 2009 - 8.5%
April 2009 - 8.9%
May 2009 - 9.4%
June 2009 - 9.5%
July 2009 - 9.4%
August 2009 - 9.7%
September 2009 - 9.8%
October 2009 - 10.2%
November 2009 - 10%
December 2009 - 10%
Unemployment Rates in 2010
January 2010 - 9.7%
February 2010 - 9.7%
March 2010 - 9.7%
April 2010 - 9.9%
May 2010 - 9.7%
June 2010 - 9.5%
July 2010 - 9.5%
August 2010 - 9.6%
September 2010 - 9.6%
October 2010 - 9.6%
November 2010 - 9.8%
December 2010 - 9.4%
January 2011 - 9%
February 2011 - 8.9%
March 2011 - 8.8%
April 2011 - 9%
May 2011 - 9.1%

Soooo In the analysis comparing Evil vs Empty Suit it seems that after 4 plus TRILLION in so called stimulus we've moved the unemployment rate 1.1% from a near historic high to a another near historic high. If we assume that there are 280 million people in the US and just to give the Empty Suit a better number let's assume that everyone works. 1.1% of 280 million is about 3 million people. Divide that into 4 trillion in debt and we would have been better off just sending them a check.

Not buying Obama's so called "Accomplishments" as when the evidence is tested it is found wanting as you can see from the above.
