And how many mishaps since the mechanics went on strike????
[post="300183"][/post]

Mishaps don't get reported. So far while the strike has been on there have been zero fatalities.

Most of the time diversions receive very little press. Mostly in the paper of the city where the flight diverted to.

Remember, I may not work in the airline industry but travel frequently. I've seen the fire dept meet NW smokers on a frequent basis at MSP and not for a retiring pilot.

I've been on several A320 flights back to MSP where there was a sudden plane change for mechanical reasons - the record was 5 return flights in a row. I was on a A320 from mdw to msp where on flap retraction after takeoff there was a horrible grinding noise that made the line for the lav very long for the entire flight.

I've had a coworker sitting in a 9 waiting to take off when another 9 landed with the gear up.

I've had a coworker on a 10 flying LGW-MSP-LGW when part of the overhead ceiling fell on passengers in flight.

All on the union mechanic's watch.

So are you prepared to compare your three week performance against the 50+ years that NWA had union labor fixing the aircraft?

What has NWAs dependability been like the last three weeks?

FAA investigations into faulty maintenace practices as documented by FAA inspectors.

Was it three emergency landings? One where the nose gear collapsed another where they had to crank the gear down?

Then again we have your IDG sericing proceedures.

If you guys are doing so well then why is NWA stepping up the heat to get their regular guys back? Why are you here trying to get them to give up?

You know these clowns are too self confident.
Left Rear Pocket = Generic Brake Fluid

Point?

NWAMSP,

How do you perceive your future travels without skilled AMT's?

PS.

It is 'ILLEGAL' to not report mishaps and/or maintenance irregularities.

If you are knowingly not reporting a mishap, and/or maintenance irregularity then you may be considered an accomplice as this is this illegal act and all parties will be held liable.

And you say "all happened on the union mechanics watch"? Can you just imagine everything that's going to happen in SCAB's watch. I mean your pal "PLAYTHEODDS" does'nt know the difference between a Genie Boom and an aircraft. Afterall, it just takes common sense, right pal. I bet you feel really safe flying 40k feet, you bonehead!!!!

Why not fly SWA, never had a fatal incident. Knock on wood!!

I've had 4 roundtrips since the strike and I assure you none of them have been on NW - being based out of MSP that is a lot to say for a NW Platinum which I am. They have all been on AA.

The AA staff that I have come in contact with have always been warm and friendly and I haven't heard any of them bitching and whining...they do a good job of keeping that away from their customers. Plus I think they have a younger average age in female flight attendants if you know what I mean.

I even flew BOS-ORD-MSP recently on an MD80 and didn't see a leaking wing tank the whole trip.

I don't think PTO is a replacement mechanic....more likely one of the recent switchovers to maintenance management who has some axes to grind. He is quite amusing though.

Hopefully when this strike is settled Play The Odds will move over to the AA board to help debate the merits of TWU vs. AMFA.

To be honest, outside of you going to an overhaul base, you will be hard-pressed to find a twu supporter. With that said, we do try to keep a professional approach to this battle in the publics view. Just as many unions outside of the airline industry can seperate representation battles from union battles and put politics aside with the strike, we try to put the politics aside in front of the flying public other than the AMFA buttons.

Boy, You guys really make my day. I got paid for twelve hours and only worked eight. I bet when the union was here it was about the same but only a third of you actually worked. I'm almost embarrassed to accept my paycheck every week. This line maintenance is almost a joke. Has anyone heard from the boys that went to MAE? I wonder how they are doing. Talk about cultural shock.

I wonder if PTO knew they were talking about him and not his manager?

Well over 9000 AA M&R filled out cards to go to AMFA and well over 90% voted against the concessions. So much for your idea of "sanity".

I also have to laugh that you seem proud that NWA has not had a fatality in the last three weeks yet you admit that you no longer fly them.

Scabs, do nwa have them? Yes they do and we are here standing strong in mind and heart. We are here to claim victory for Northwest in the defeat of AMFA.

UA flight makes an emergency landing with smoke in the cabin. I wonder if the professional union thugs worked on it. You know, the "real mechanics." What a joke.
