A report on CNN today stated that US Airways gave away
26,000,000 frequent flyer miles due to winter weather and the Shuttle on-time guarantee program. They further stated the program will end March 31st (after winter has ended).

That equals about 1,300 free tickets or DMUP20s if you're valuing awards at 20,000 miles or 1,040 free tickets if you're valuing awards at 25,000 miles.

I don't understand, when I read the original terms of the SHUTTLE GUARANTEE PROGRAM, it says "does not apply during irregular operations", which I assume bad weather is considered irregular.

Is U also comping hotels for weather stranded pax now?
