Looks like just a glitch.
It was determined a few days ago that sick pay would continue for now.

Maybe it's just the first weekend of the month. Lots of the updates from SHARP to Jetnet run overnight in batch mode on Saturday night, and get processed on Sunday mornings. Not everything needs to be realtime...

Per the RLA if AA took away our sick time or altered our pay at this time that would be major dispute and we could strike or resort to self help. The company has to seek permission from the court to make changes to the contract.

Good memory Eric. There in fact was a planned Shaarp outage for the weekend and sure enough came in Sunday morning to find this mess. Good news is everything was back to normal by 11:30. I have to say though under the circumstances the programmers should be a bit more careful about their uploads.
