Something to think about!

Guy says the 'delta' spike will be short lived. Pointed out the India delta spike and how the media was freaking over it. Then suddenly, no reports, it was gone as quick as it came.

Trump or no Trump, vaccine choice is a personal decision....period. Anyone who decides not to for any reason should not be singled out.

My PCP and I talked. All this shutdown and all, masking and normal life would have had the same end results.
I was talking to my daughter who is in nursing school and who has been working in hospitals over the last year and a half. I know she's not a PCP, she just sees what comes in. She said that her school was told Monday that if the students were not vaccinated, they would have to take a leave of absence and would not be allowed to participate in clinicals. She said a few students didn't have the vaccine. A lot of those students are in school, but not working in a hospital. She said they should really see the folks that come thru. She said if they didnt' like an "experimental" vaccine, they'd LOVE the "experimental" meds they give Covid patients. And she said that more and more patients aren't getting intubated, they are getting a permanent tracheostomy. I guess an upside is that they can entertain their grandkids by sounding like a robot. Forever. But....you have that right.

But she just shakes her head and wonders why these people want a career in healthcare. Oh...how many Covid patients has your PCP worked with? My kid escorted the families of 5 people up to their loved ones room so that they could see them before they died. I wonder if it might have been 10 if we had lived a normal life.

Ask her where her heads at with Bidens open covid fueld border policy?

SHe's more concerned about Missouri rednecks spending a weekend at Lake of the Ozarks than she is from illegals infecting her. In Kansas City one is far more likely to get Covid from a Murrican who went to the lake than they are from a Mexican in Brownsville.

Well I find that rather odd because when I was in the COVID ward they had a strict no one in, no one out policy enforced by Tulsa Police Department.

Nobody was allowed visitors.

Frankly your claims sound like BS.

I guess Kansas is more compassionate than Tulsa..and you survived, and unless you were roaming the halls, you had no idea what was going on with terminal patients. We also allowed no visitors for ANYBODY in the hospitals. REgardless of why they were there. But there WERE exceptions - is the person going to die. If that was the case, they would have a staffer escort them up to their loved ones room in the appropriate protective gear, so that they could bid their loved one a final farewell. At some point you might learn that Tulsa is not necessarily representative of the rest of the country, although I'd be willing to bet you that they made the same exceptions there.

Usually rural...republican, drives a pickup....owns at least 3 guns. Likes country music...hates socialism (as defined by Republicans)
Let's play with those words a bit.

Usually urban... Democrat, drives a hoopty.... owns an illegal fire arm. Likes rap music, loves welfare (as defined by Republicans)

What does that sound like to you? Sounds pretty ignorant doesn't it?

Compassion has nothing to do with it. They were trying to control the spread of infection. That is called making a tough decision. You knowingly expose visitors to infection you risk spreading it. The general public is not trained on how to properly deal with contagions. Most people do not wear PPE correctly. There is a difference between wearing it and wearing it effectively.

I bet they did not make exceptions. They told me up front they had a very strict no one in no one out rule. This was enforced by Tulsa Police Department, not security, the police. I was not even allowed to leave my room (so no, I was not roaming the halls, nobody was). I needed something off the floor and it took over 3 hours to get because it had to go through procedures.

I don't need you to tell me the cost of COVID. I have already been hospitalized, lost 3 family members (non COVID related deaths) within two months who did not even have a funeral due to the pandemic, and an uncle in the COVID ward right now with an estimated 2 week recovery time.

Then I guess that Tulsa is pretty heartless. Yeah...they didn't have funerals here. My daughter and my former sister in law are both nurses at two different hospitals. Both hospitals had a no in/no out policy. They wouldn't let people visit patients with dementia, which made them a handful to work with. I had a heart cath done in March and my girlfriend couldn't even wait in the waiting room. But if someone was dying of covid, they would allow family members up to see them. I'll take the word of two people who have been working in hospitals for the past year.

Hmmm... I'm pretty liberal. I drive a Mazda CX5 when I drive a car, but usually ride one of my bicycles. I live in the suburbs, but I do have to admit that a lot of my rides are "urban". I don't own a gun, I like classical music, but I must say that I really DO enjoy my Social Security checks that your contributions make popular. But did you notice, I didn't say anything demeaning about rednecks. What part of driving a pickup, liking country music, owning a gun or two and hates Socialism (as REpublicans define it) is derogatory? Not hoopty...nothing about the illegality of their guns. Nothing about welfare...although retired rednecks all seem to enjoy their Socialist Security as much as I do.
