Southwest has decided to abandon Love Field(DAL) and move to Alliance Airport(AFW). The City of Ft.Worth has agreed to build SWA a new terminal and also give SWA millions in Tax breaks to move SWA's headquarters to Ft.Worth. The mayor of Ft.Worth was quoted as saying "If you can't beat'em, Join'em".
This is just a joke, but who's to say it won't happen. SWA will probably never move to DFW and if the Wright amendment stays in place what would keep SWA from moving to AFW? AFW has plenty of undeveloped land around it and I bet Ross Perot would make them one heck of a deal.
