Was a war resister in 1972,....

I think we're done here. Imagine/fantasize yourself as "macho" and "heroic" as you wish.....

"I boxed some and was a bouncer in a strip club for 2 years. Sparred with a Canadian Middleweight in my late teens. He was Canadian Champ and I couldn't get near him often enough to maul him with my 50 Lb. weight advantage." WOW! How wewy, wewy impwessive widdle boy! I was only on the USA team for a few years prior to military service. Umm....Trust me on at least one thing = Life/Death/People killing each other in serious war ain't no sporting event and has no real "rules", save those of hopefully remaining breathing at the end of any day.

Umm..."He was Canadian Champ"? No offense, but in my sport that would've cast him as at best a joke at the World level. Such is life.

"If you ever want to be good and tired at the end of the day try the mental aspects of contact. Verbal Jousting is just as exhausting as physical jousting, maybe more." "just as exhausting"? Perhaps only to village idiots that've never engaged in anything even remotely approaching serious sport, since that's mostly the sorts available within politics....Village idiots.

You're considering politics? Fine, but first divest yourself of any lingering, childishly "macho" fantasies and just....Grow....Up. "I boxed some and was a bouncer in a strip club for 2 years." puts you light years above the standard "democrat politician", but yet leaves you cast in the shadowed light of being just a bad joke.

"Verbal Jousting is just as exhausting as physical jousting, maybe more." Umm...Perhaps you had better get some needed rest then... 🙂

I just "love" the amusement provided by such patronizing buffoons as yourself: "If you ever want to be good and tired at the end of the day try the mental aspects of.." Sigh!...Give war a try, oh mighty "Was a war resister in 1972" and then get back to us all. I personally found it FAR more "tiring" in every aspect than even sports competition at the World Championships level....but I've never had the proper "glory" of being a bouncer at some strip club, so what do I know?

Have fun in Fantasyland kiddies. Good night to all and be healthy and well.

Table two needs another round!

I see civility and decorum are not your strong suits.

BTW, you asked, I answered. Canadian Middleweight is not exactly Joe Frazier I'll give you that. However at least I had enough testosterone to climb into the ring and eat jabs for 3 rounds. Thank God he wasn't a Heavyweight because he was fast and I would have gotten my ass completely handed to me instead of only partly handed to me.

What did I learn as a bouncer? The opposite of your macho blather. I learned it was much easier to finesse a person out the door then bodily. The second thing I learned is when you hit somebody in the mouth bare knuckles it hurts like hell. The last thing I learned is no matter how tough you think you are there is always someone tougher. Exhibit "A" for this argument was when some loudmouth belligerent person followed one of the girls to her car. I hadn't noticed her depart so quickly as I was checking ID. Saw the A--Hole (you perhaps) and ran outside just in time to see "Angel" put the heel of her shoe into the guys eye. Poor SOB almost lost his eye. I left him there and told the girl, "Neither of us were ever in this parking lot tonight, got it?" She winked, I went inside to get everyone's story straight in case the dumb ass sued.

You went to War? Funny we haven't had a war since WWII. Didn't know you were that old. Thanks just the same. So whatever UN sanctioned conflict you were in I ask, "You want a cookie"? Millions served and thousands came back with either their bodies or minds or both destroyed. For who? For What? Who were the Generals in Vietnam, Desert Shield/Storm etc?
General Motors
General Electric
General Tire
General Dynamics
AM General
General Signal
How did the average Joe/Jane benefit from the accumulation of debt to fight these "Police Actions", "Conflicts"? What Was In It For Them?

When you try to justify all of this warfare just remember that John Kennedy went nose to nose with the USSR over missiles in Cuba and NOBODY died. Peace was maintained. Also while I'm in the mood, Ask yourself why we've hand almost an entire century of war since the creation of the Federal Reserve? Heck, You probably think the Fed is a civil service job and part of the US Government

Was a war resister in 1972, was planning on going to jail but as fate would have it they called up to 89 but my number was 283. Turns out I was a non interventionist then and now.
