A diet high in starches and prepared food is the cause of the extra weight. It is almost impossible to eat a good and balance diet while living poor and living pay check to pay check or on food stamps.
 
The Corporate Welfare Boys have plenty of time & money to hit the gym, hire personal trainers and the like AND they do it on money redistributed from poor and middle class taxes. Don't you feel better living in the Land of the Free already?

Hmmmmm. I know that I stated somewhere that you can now use food stamps and SNAPS at Farmer's markets. You can also buy produce and better choice foods in super markets.

I'm not a Corporate Welfare boy, but I can eat healthy and have some pride in who I am.

I'm not a QUEEN keeper, instead of handing FREE money, TEACH people that rely on handouts how to survive on their own.

Hmmmmm. I know that I stated somewhere that you can now use food stamps and SNAPS at Farmer's markets.

So if you can find a farmers market in the inner city neighborhood, you can buy a couple of pieces of fruit or full value menu meals that fill the gut of you and the kids. An easy, but not healthy choice for those on an extreme budget and snap.

BS......the issue is the cap for monthly earnings and asset tests. A lot of states you can get stamps with 3 cars, 2 house and $100,000 in the bank. You think someone with these liquifable assets deserves or needs stamps?

 
You know what I'm going to call BS on?  All this hand wringing about food stamps or supposed voter fraud.  Two things that get talked about quite often here but in reality are relatively minor in the grand scheme of things.  How about the widening income gap in this country?  Do you think it's healthy for a democracy for a small portion of the population to control so much wealth?  How about the nations crumbling infrastructure?  Nah, the talking heads on the radio don't talk about that.

Asset tests are set state by state.
 
Pay attention to the chart to the left when you roll over each state. look for 'no asset test' and a vehicle limit.......or no limit.
 
Notice most leaning dem are a free giveaway program? You can bring in income matching the state above poverty level requirement but still be sitting on half a million with 5 cars.  You condone this?

Where did I say they were? I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of people like Congressman Fincher.  Now please tell me you have a problem with a congressman voting to cut food assistance for the poor while using the bible to justify it.  While at the same time casting a vote for farm subsidies that put money in his own pocket.  Something very unseemly about that.
 
P.S.  Food stamps are attached to the farm bill.
