If they have money for marijuana then they can pay their own bills.

I only saw this because delldude quoted you.

Who said anything about working for the government? They said a WORK REQUIREMENT, as in you're not going to sit on your ass and collect welfare. They will SUBSIDIZE you, not SUPPORT you.

I'm suing.

I thought that was the point of foodstamps???
Hmmmmm....maybe this is a state-by-state thingy. The only way you would once qualify for food stamps in my state is if you were on unemployment, welfare, or a family with an income below 20K.

Sorry but some fellows named Socrates and his colleagues developed the the concept of Natural Law. The foundation of the COTUS.

ALL interactions between citizen and government must be voluntary. The choice to accept or reject government aid already exists. I'll be in favor of a work requirement for individual welfare on exactly the same day as we eliminate Farm Subsidies or require Agribusiness to donate 50% of their profits to charity. Same goes for any and all businesses who suckle at the government teet.

Exactly. Are we going to require those who get SSDI, VA, FHA, Student loans, SBA loans, etc., to all submit? Are you willing to pay for all that testing?

You know Sparrow, I know we agree that the party that wants to limit governemnt is also the one who wants to regulate through the Patriot act, drug testing, etc. I fall on the libertarian side far more often than the Republican established platform. That is why I say watch out for Rand Paul.

Rand Paul has an excellent chance of winning the whole thing. Just watching the Republican's collective heads explode will be worth it alone. OMG it would be like a minority owned corporation bought the Augusta Country Club.

Thing that troubles me about Rand is he has a Neo-Con streak that he doesn't share with his Dad. However that streak could well get him elected.

If either Paul reaches the White House it's my opinion that neither makes it out alive.

And in this day and age of high tech warfare, one can get his asss handed to him rather quickly when out of the tech loop very long.

That does not justify $163 billion dollars in cost overruns on the F-35.  Or the billions spent on the LCS which cannot properly defend itself along with being a fire trap.  Or all the other programs that the DOD has flushed money down the drain on.

Here's a well written article as to why the elder Paul was never able to gain much traction.

He has it now. The Millennial's have moved in a big way toward father and   son. That's where the battle ground likely will be. It's an 80 million voter demographic and whoever reachs the majority of them will likely be the next President.

What has the welfare state and all its trimmings cost since inception?

163 mill won't be an issue when the merde hits the ventilateur.

Cost overruns are a given...in high tech they add up quickly.

Tell us about the black budget.
