What has the welfare state and all its trimmings cost since inception?

163 mill won't be an issue when the merde hits the ventilateur.

Cost overruns are a given...in high tech they add up quickly.

Tell us about the black budget.

It's not a $163 million.  It's $163 billion with a B.  Cost overruns are not a given.  They're a sign of inept management.

He has it now. The Millennial's have moved in a big way toward father and   son. That's where the battle ground likely will be. It's an 80 million voter demographic and whoever reachs the majority of them will likely be the next President.

I've grown leery of politicians whose daddy, or husband, helped pave the way or them.  Junior better learn not to run when tough questions are asked.

Cost overruns from farming out sensitive electronics to China by chance?

You have to give the military credit though, they transferred some 4.3 Billion with a B of military equipment to local police. At least they are trying to control costs.

Millennials do not register to vote.

I'm willing to bet Paul won't make it to the final cut of the primary. I he goes Independent, he will help split the republican vote and guarantee a Dem POTUS.

First think Paul needs to learn is that his comments are recorded and people can actual hear that he said we would cut aid to Israel.

All of them? Some of them? What percentage don't register to vote?

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/turnstyle/why-young-liberals-like-m_b_1181427.html  From the article.

"Don't be mad at me," I told him, "but I'm afraid I have to vote Republican this coming election."
"Me too," said Reid. "I'm sure not voting for Obama -- I'm voting Ron Paul."
My jaw dropped. Reid said that although he voted for the Green Party candidate in 2008, he has followed the Texas Congressman for years. He was the only candidate he felt hadn't lied to us and has the voting record to prove it.  "And I'm sorry, I don't want to be declared a terrorist and 'disappear' in the middle of the night," Reid said.

You obviously don't know a thing about the tech industry.

Here's a well written article as to why the elder Paul was never able to gain much traction.

http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighborhood/tygrrrr-express/2012/apr/6/why-ron-paul-rallies-never-translate-votes/
It is a good article. The election fraud issue is however very real and while it is unclear just how deep it was it did exist. Some of his followers lack both decorum and have a large inventory of Tin Foil Hats.

However, I think the reason for the lack of traction at the polls is much simpler. Ron Paul is a "True Believer" and if you look throughout our history they do very well right up until it's time to vote. William Jennings Bryant is but one example.

The above is why Rand looks attractive. He's more nuanced and pragmatic then his Dad.

Lets pretend Obama won the key battleground states and no more.

Be NICE!
Plus their is always the vampire vote to consider. One of the things that always puzzled me was how this 70 something, not all that good looking guy, with a squeaky voice could inspire so many people with so much energy with ideas that were not all that common or Mainstream.

I've not met him personally, but everyone I know who has always speaks of his genuine,  gentle and kind way. Sort of like everybody's Grandfather. You have to admire his integrity and tenacity. In the beginning the votes were 1-434 with him being the one. Now the tables have turned and the audit the fed bill was passed 327-90.

The times they are a changin'
