Stocks fall as investors ponder Obama presidency

And you still have no answer. You can throw all the veiled insults you want but you still have no explanation as to why nothing was done to address the problem while the republicans had control of both chambers of Congress and the WH.

The time line that you linked overlaps times when the Reps were in total control. You can ignore that all you want but that does not mean it is not true. Both dems and reps are guilty of negligence and malfeasance at the very least.

Just one of the points in your time line:
WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 2003— The Bush administration today recommended the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago.

Please tell us what party had the majority in

House
Senate
White House

for the year 2003. Then explain why when they had control for 4 years that they did not pass any legislation to correct the regulatory deficiencies that they said were lacking.

Again your lack of comprehension and knowledge on the subject is apparent. Your argument is irrelevant in scope.

And again you have no answer. Why am I not surprised.
I answered you already. Your question is irrellevant.

You would know that if your were educated about the subject, but you admittingly stated you were not aware of such issues. So in typical liberal knee jerk reaction, you rush to the defense without knowing what you are talking about.

No you did not answer it. You never answer direct questions. You hurl insults and innuendo.

Asking why the republicans when they had control of both the Congress and the WH but did not address the problem is not irrelevant. I can see how it would be inconvenient for your argument but it is certainly not irrelevant.

Can you please point out where I am defending anyone or any party? You are the only one defending your party. I am claiming and have claimed all along that both parties are incompetent and that both parties are at fault. Then again, you have always accused me of that as if the more you say it it may be true. It was not true then and it is not true now.

I voted for Obama because I felt and still feel that he was the better of two bad choices. I do not agree with most of his economic policies. I wish he would pull the troops out of Iraq and Afgan sooner but I see the point for leaving them there and I had no illusions that what was said during the campaign was not going to happen. Promises made during the campaign are rarely if ever kept. SO spare me the liberal knee jerk bashing. I have consistently said that both parties are scum. I just happen to agree with some of the things the dem scum say more than the rep scum.

Perhaps the reason for the upset in Mass has less to do with Obama than it does with the twisted logic out of Washington.

Subject: CLUNKER MATH

Clunker Math

Think of it this way:

  • A clunker that travels 12,000 miles a year at 15 mpg uses 800 gallons of gas a year.
  • A vehicle that travels 12,000 miles a year at 25 mpg uses 480 gallons a year..
  • So, the average Cash for Clunkers transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year.
  • They claim 700,000 vehicles so that's 224 million gallons saved per year.
  • That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.
  • 5 million barrels is about 5 hours worth of US consumption.
  • More importantly, 5 million barrels of oil at $70 per barrel costs about $350 million dollars.
  • So, the government paid $3 billion of our tax dollars to save $350 million.
  • We spent $8.57 for every dollar we saved.

I'm pretty sure they will do a great job with our health care, though.

Folks this is about as sick/funny a Dick Cheney in an Evening Gown and worse yet we buy this crap year in year out

Precisely why Obama and Netanyahu differ on Iran attacks.

Maybe Netanyahu will give a little payback?
