Yet trump himself did a mail in. Hmm. That ought to be questioned...unless it fits certain narrative????
Playing dumb as usual, eh? Huge difference between someone requesting a ballot, and unsolicited ballots being sent out.
In Florida, Trump had to submit a request including his DOB and signature, and a clerk at the election office does a verification before sending it out. Election officials know exactly how many ballots were requested, and can predict a maximum number that would be returned.
It's not as perfect as presenting an ID at a polling station, but it's better than nothing.
What's not reasonable is how anyone smart enough to be around airplanes can't see the risk of sending out millions of unsolicited blank ballots, and/or believing that there's no fraud going on with all those blank ballots... It's also not reasonable to have no idea how many to expect will be returned.
Imagine if airline breakrooms had stacks of blank ballots sitting around for a union representation election, and there was no meaningful way of authenticating who voted. Would you be OK if some "well intended" supervisor or pro-company crew chief decided to submit a couple dozen "NO" ballots for people he knew wouldn't be voting? Would you be OK if dozens of anti-union people across the system did that?
Yeah, didn't think so.
But it's OK to do that for a national election with much more serious consequences...
