From UW's link:

If you don't agree with gay marriage, then don't have a gay wedding. Simple.
Seems simple enough, and yet, if you're a business owner who doesn't agree with gay marriage, you're forced to participate in a gay wedding?

Being a business owner shouldn't mean giving up the Constitutional rights you hold as an individual. And yet, that's what the activists seem to be forcing, and that's where I see that effort eventually failing in the courts.

Alito seems to have seen that coming.

They have to serve minorities, old people, women..... the horror of it all.

It isn't a religious difference between those two religions, it is an abomination of the word of God that those two religions have a mutual understanding of.

Doesn't work here.

Ok, make it an Episcopalian couple being married by a gay Episcopalian Bishop.

Seems, they, that very most American of Christian faiths, along with some of the Judaic members of our Judeo-Christian heritage and dozens of otjer faiths noth Christian and not have a different understand ing of this Word Of God of which you speak.

Actually, it seems that your particular version of the Word of God most closely aligns with that of your Taliban and Wahhabist brothers.

Isn't that special?

My that measure, I should sue Amazon because they won't sell me a Confederate flag.

BTW, Walt,

There is no constitutional right to violate anti-discrimination laws...

But you (probably...) know that

There are faiths who don't recognize infant baptism, and Catholics don't allow non-Catholics to take Communion, ALL based on a different understanding of their interpretations of the Word of God. Most faiths won't recognize a polygamous marriage from a sect or faction that still practice it (e.g. FLDS and some branches of Islam).

Certainly, there will be churches who won't recognize a same sex marriage, and given that the Church doesn't answer to Government, there's nothing that can be done about it, so the only option is to go after the adherents...

Don't worry, I don't expect athiests to understand the nuances of religion, so I won't bother expecting it from you, either.

If you really think that this is Taliban or Wahabi, you're more far ignorant than your last 50 posts have indicated. And more intolerant, I'll add.

Off to the ignore list you go (to join Bears and WT), since that's where the ignorant and intolerant folks belong.

Ahhhh

The "you're ignorant" defense.

Good one

Why is that only a certain brand of Christianity shares those views with the most orthodox radical, and reactionary versions of Islam.

And excepting the use of the legislator's pen instead of the scimitar, and the choice of rulebooks, what is the end-game difference between the Taliban, your lical Wahhabist, and the American Christian Dominionist?

Theocracy is still the goal

btw, worshipper of meth dealers, I am not an atheist

Nearly as little use for their brand of intolerance as I have for religion.

The only mediating factor that makes it "nearly" is that they don't generally deliberately lie to millions of people to make their case, and aren't generally asking people to pay to belong.

There is no law to dictate what a merchant sells judt who they must sell to.
