Hola, Que Pasa?
This is an early Tsunami warning and heads up for all you usual suspects and part timers for the Official Unofficial 20th year Anniv of Big Wednesday/Surf-O-Rama August 12th
2009 at San Onofre State Beach ( Old Mans past Trestles )......( who really knows of its exact inception) some ol' PSA bum for sure.
Pack up the kids ( everyone wants to see everybody's offspring ) and shut down work for a day of fun, sun, surf and memories. Who knows what the evening will bring. For beach bums that would like to stay in the area instead of making the trek home or for those out of towners like us, hotel links will be provided below as Castle R..b is sold out again as usual.
Throw some grub in the old Coleman and be sure to have plenty of ice for your favorite beverages. Those of you that never BYOB ( ya we know who you are ) I'm sure they'll be plenty extra for you to bum and siphon done as usual. Make sure ya got plenty of memory on your stick to capture good times so you can reminisce in future days and show all the losers who didn't show, how much fun they missed. I'm mean really, who can forget the the year Perez became "The Firewalker", the year he showed up with the Mercedes Taco Wagon (classic!) and the year J....s dropped that bottle of Absolute right in front of the CHP car kicking us off the beach cuz ya can't stay after 10p.
Looks like the out of towners are going to show up in major force this year, kiting in from the far reaches of earth, so don't be a loser, be sure to wipe the calender slate clear for the beach day of the year and mix it up with current and former sky bags, hags and airline lifers.
Because I forgot where I put my lecithin for my memory, if anyone feels they like to ad to the list, feel free to forward and spread the word. Well there ya have it.... fire up your favorite ride on the 12th of August and punch it in the GPS for those that can't follow directions. The Farmers Almanac calls for clear skies, visibility 100 miles, a light breeze out of the southwest, 85 degrees and surf of 4-6 feet. Most Excellent Dudes !!
