Swiss International Air Lines Ltd., which is being bought by Deutsche Lufthansa AG, plans to dismiss 314 pilots from its European fleet if they don't accept new job contracts by year-end.
The pilots would be forced to accept "significantly worse working conditions," Swiss Pilots, the union representing former Crossair pilots, said yesterday. Swiss International is forcing the pilots to accept pay cuts of as much as 40 per cent, the Zurich-based SonntagsZeitung reported yesterday.
