Tariffs

Blah blah blah. 😒 blah blah, blah blah. 😑
Said Pelosi about Obamacare. Bottom line....every tariff win for Trump means that Amreicans pay more. Let's have a drink to toast the single largest tax increase in American history. We'll drink Kentucky bourbon since everything else may be priced out of reach.

I would love for Canada 🇨🇦 to join the USA 🇺🇸 Just don’t think I’d want them as a US State. They vote 🗳️ even more stupid than our Country tends to (Biden Presidency)

Okay....that'a a lot of soda cans but we still import almost 3 times that amount of aluminum. Bottom line, the tariff on aluminum will make the price of a 737 increase. No way around that.
Well here is a thought....

How many aircraft do we have sitting in "boneyards"?

This one has almost 4000.

Here is yet another.

You think maybe, given the fact we have all this material laying around that doesn't have to be mined, just maybe that imported aluminum does not actually NEED to be imported at all? You ever consider the reason it is imported is to keep the money train going, not because there is actually a NEED to do so?

Thank for setting me straight on how many Mountain Dew cans are int he typical 7378./ Bujt as i said, we still import 3 times that much. So no matter how you cut it, because of the tariffs, every 737 will cost more.
I didn't set anything. You ASKED and I provided an answer.

Yes.. we import aluminum... while we have thousands of aluminum aircraft just sitting in the desert. You ever ask why that is?

It seems for all of our talk of aluminum cans and 737's costing more Trump was right. We ARE bringing production and jobs back to America.

Maybe those 2 steel mills I posted earlier will come back to life.

What is it you find so offensive about bringing jobs back to America KCFlyer?

You are so full of sh*t they should call you KCLiar.

I bet the moron is going to think all the factories and jobs are supposed to magically pop up overnight.

And yea you pegged the guy right. It’s what I eventually had to learn about Liberals. They have to continually lie their asses off about everything because the policies they support are so terrible.

Lots and lots of factories are going to be built or rebuilt. Of course that doesn’t happen overnight. They’ll come up over time. Some taking years to be built. And many of those factories are going to have automation. But along with the automation there will be jobs. No one is going to walk into a factory and it’s magically humming all by itself. Or the robots 🤖 are pressing the on and off switches just yet.

“Average Time to Build a Factory
General Timeframes

The time it takes to build a factory varies based on several factors, including size, complexity, and location. Here are the average timeframes:

FACTORY SIZE CONSTRUCTION TIMEFRAME
Small to Medium 6 months to 2 years
Large 2 to 5 years or more

Phases of Construction
The construction process typically involves several phases, each with its own timeframe:

PHASE DURATION
Planning and Design 4 to 10 weeks
Detailed Design and Approval 6 to 8 weeks
Obtaining Building Consent 6 to 8 weeks
Actual Construction 8 weeks to 12 months
Post-Construction 1 to 2 weeks

Factors Influencing Time
Complexity: More complex factories take longer to design and build.
Location: Local regulations and site conditions can affect timelines.
Labor Availability: A shortage of skilled labor can slow down construction.
Overall, while small factories may be operational within a year, larger facilities can take several years to complete”
