Ok and all of what Mattel sells is unnecessary plastic garbage. 🗑️ “Junk” as Trump put it. So go ahead and raise the prices. Raise prices too high and people won’t buy the garbage and they’ll be less production (In China 🇨🇳) and less overflowing landfills.

Maybe we should focus on bringing back bicycle manufacturing? It’s a good thing for all of us fat Americans to get off our lazy asses and MAHA.

Mattel CEO says toy manufacturing won't come to America, but price hikes will

Jergens Inc., a midwestern toolmaker with less than 500 employees, says it’s “going like gangbusters” trying to keep up with demand, The Wall Street Journal reported. They are seeing an influx of orders from customers trying to avoid import tariffs, along with steady defense-related demand.

“We are running 24 hours a day, seven days a week” said Jergens president Jack Schron, according to the Journal. “We are swamped.”

Grand River Rubber & Plastics, a plastics and rubber manufacturer in Ohio, says customers that once offshored to China are reversing course, the Journal noted. Two buyers who left years ago returned within days of each other and two new oil filter manufacturers have already placed orders. The company’s new business could amount to $5 million annually, roughly 10% of Grand River’s revenue.

In other words, Reciprocal “Fair” Trade. Not “Free” Trade where Nations just do what they want robbing the USA 🇺🇸 blindly.

America 🇺🇸 was responsible for inventing and shipping the modern World 🌎 across the face of the Earth. We built it all and were generous to share.

Edison, Tesla, Rockefeller, Ford, Orville and Wibur Wright, Vanderbilt, Morgan, Gates, Jobs, Musk.

“Free Trade vs Fair Trade” The point of these Tariffs being to end the American 🇺🇸 rot. How long is that going to take is irrelevant. No Country that has a Tariff slapped on them for products that we import but don’t need or can source domestically or from other agreeable trading partners will be able to slap on 100% of their increased costs. They may be able to push a percentage of cost onto the American 🇺🇸 consumers but if they go too high we simply will not buy from them.

Is an imbalance of $200 Billion per year not counting the US Military being on call if they ever need it what anyone would call fair? “Fair Trade”

If Canada 🇨🇦 doesn’t want to become a State that’s ok. But they need to tear down their Trade barriers and let our Companies sell their products.

If Justin Trudeau really did say Canada can’t survive as a Country without that $200 Billion imbalance that’s a major problem for Canada. That’s not America’s problem if they don’t want to smile and say they’re our best friend anymore.

BTW we really don’t need the Canadians coming down here to Florida in the Winter anymore either. They’re actually very cheap tourists. Now that they’re selling their Condos the prices are becoming more affordable again. (I’m ok with my Condo value dropping)

Ok. I’m looking forward very much to those Tax cuts on OT and Social Security happening.

I worked about $20,000 worth of OT last year and it would be very nice for that not to be taxed. 5 more years to retirement and that’s $100,000 not taxed. Maybe knowing I get to keep all of that money will get me to work more which is really what the Government wants. It’s meant to be an enticement to produce.

When I retire with what I have saved and what I’ll likely need to spend I would be taxed the full 80% of my Social Security income. That means having to pull even more out of my 401K to make up for the take Uncle Sam wanted.

Get rid of that and my taxable income between SS/ Pension and 401 draw will be greatly reduced. Makes me also quite happy that I have always been putting into my 401 “Pre” Tax and not “Post” Tax. More money went into the Market that I could get returns on and now when I retire I get to keep more of that.
