Man... Stuck between Occupy Wallstreet and the Teabaggers... And they say america is losing relevancy in the world...

Most of what I've seen at Occupy "protests" seems to be a bunch of students or unemployed college graduates (and maybe a couple union guys on their day off) sitting outside and holding signs, many while also sipping a Starbucks or munching away on Subway and listening to their iPods. Most of whom were probably led to believe that they'd go to college and walk into a well paying job, and never considered that they'd actually have to work for their money.
And yes, it does look like they're overwhelmingly white...
Oh, and just like the progressive rallies in DC, lots of trash sitting on the ground because progressives would rather guarantee work for the sanitation workers than clean up after themselves...
Nothing says "protest Corporate America" like holding up a sign condemning it and simultaneously holding or using some of the more successful signs of Corporate America.

While I do agree with some of what they are protesting about, you are correct in the corporate branding.
I saw people holding signs that had stuff written on them. When they turned around, the sign had a giant 3M logo (although upside down). Kind of ruins, or reinforces, your message, depending on the viewpoint.
Remarkably well organized event......globally. I read where the chosen one and the hero's on the left will use OWS as their campaign platform against those dastardly conservatives. Should be lots of tv ads with angry anti-corporate wonks with signs and so on and counter ads with interviewed demonstrators being asked why they are there.....lots of footage with blank expressions and 'I dunno'.....should bode well for the Haavard crew again.
