Most of these guys are contractors. They are only in it for the $32/hr. Most of that is tax free BTW. They are getting alot of it as per diem. I doubt many are willing to stay in MSP or DET once the snow starts flying for $18/hr.
For the same reason they crossed the picket line, the "other union(s)" members will do nothing. You seem to forget the threat of BK on their own positions. And what, pray tell, can the unions "of other airlines" possibly do in this fight?TWU informer said:Momentum will build among the other unions as time goes by. "That my friend" is just wishful thinking. It has happened before but neither the airline, nor the seniority jobs survived.TWU informer said:The ... unions ... of other airlines ... will NOT stand by and watch scab workers replace ANY work group in this industry. It is obvious to me the there is a completely unrealistic mindset on the part of the AA AMT posters that have now practically hi-jacked this NW forum to carry on their continuing fight over AMT union representation on their own airline property.

I have no use for them, just a scheme to ensure that lots of people are doing the work that lots less can do, and the head union goon gets a bunch of money being a greedhead and taking all he can.

[post="291903"][/post]Former Moderator,
With regards to pushbacks and cleaning of a/c my station has not been affected by the mechanics strike since we do not have mechanics or cleaners in house.
We have been doing this work for years now. However;
[/quote=Former ModerAAtor, The work can be done by either workgroup, so it's a stretch to call someone a scab for performing work that's in-scope for their contract.
Have been to school, have a job, have a life, am not on welfare. I did it all without walking on the backs of hard working honest people. Too bad you cannot say the same.keeptheodds said:Go to school Mikey. Get a job Mikey. Get a life Mikey. Get off welfare Mikey.
