TEMPE_IF YOU READ THIS BOARD--------->>

<SNIP> 4 Ditto the mini skirt. You fall asleep you might give your neighbor quite the show.
The same could be said for crewmembers at other carriers.

Have you noticed the clientele who happen to fly these days, they're not exactly an exclusive bunch? And i'm not just talking about US Airways passengers. Hell, if anything, when i see a well-dressed person on board an aircraft these days, especially one who's travelling on the weekend, i know for a fact they're more than likely a nonrev. Unfortunately wife-beaters and flip flops are the status quo more often than not. Having said that, as some of you may or not know, Delta recently relaxed their dress code as well, simply stated, if its good enough for a revenue passenger to wear, then so can a nonrev. I must say though, it seems to me that some of the dress-code Nazi gate agents at Delta nearly had a conniption fit when they found out they were no longer going to be able to boss around nonrevs anymore due to their appearance. Seemed like some of our gate/ticket agents really got off on telling people no to their attire.
you just said it---seems like most are getting off telling the non rev what not to wear. Further more---some agents take flip flops to equal sandals. We never had this issue in the past...now all you hear is the word no and no flip flops...who the heck cares....just make sure the fc non rev is in dress code and what is the bfd? Why add more headache to your already drama filled day? we are not the old usair where you had to wear business attire to travel....get over it and the flip flops...they most likely wont get on anyhow as all the friggin flights are full.

I have to agree the RELAXED NRSA dress code does not WORK. Employees are lettings all kinds use the GUEST PASSES and you should see what we see in the airport and gate area, PLEASE return to Business Casual. ASAP

I can't believe you folks waste your time on stuff like this for nrsa's Have you noticed how the paying passengers travel? Why would anyone want to stand out as an employee? You should be more concerned with Agents messing around with the standby list, there s a lot of that going around, but not for long. So if someone is going to to a tropical climate they should be dressed in slacks and a jacket come on get over it.

WCT-this one's for you baby!

I work the t/c, plus my supervisor works right besides me-the Gate agents DO NOT ALLOW to board with Flip Flops'..
<Maybe this is why you guys have the non chalant attitude that you have.
We took pride in flying all dressed up, and Im not in 115 degress wea..that;'s your problem with the heat not mine.

Ya fly for FREE, dont make it look like Trailways in the sky.
but then everyone has an opinion.,just like a nose.

I do my job very well, I allow and I bend-so why should I explain to you.?

Ya loser!
Your a real grown up, you know that? I could just imagine how you treat rev pax's, do you call them losers too?? I guess that is why you have the skull and crossbones, and named your screename WENCH1. Seems to fit perfectly.

thank you Kona!!! Well said!!! The other day we had 33 non revs listed for LAS....guess CLT is learning the system-even though they still complain-as they reordered the SB list 2x--yep not 1x but 2x-and tried putting SA7Ps over SA1Ps.....uh hello!!!! Ya know what this gets you??? Reported it to the pass bureau---guess what? They do follow up on this stuff so....east was so concerned about west manipulating the SB list in the beginning....remember the whining---how west would simply just check in their friends????---well,look who is manipulating--trying to-the SB list?!!!!

I always try to look like MAYBE I could afford the F/C ticket when I fly. Here is what I believe to be a simple dress code.

Guys:

1. shirt with a collar, golf, polo or bowling or just a collared shirt.
2. Dockers or similar long pants.
3. Casual shoes such as loafers

Ladies:

1. Shirt or sweater.
2. Skirt or slacks
3. Casual shoes

That was the list of "DO's"! Now for the list of "Dont's"

Guys

1. Leave the shorts at home. All kinds, Bermuda, Gym, cut offs.
2. Athletic shoes are for athletes. If you want the wear then FINE, jog to MCI.
3. Same goes for other types of footwear. If it's got an open toe it has to go.

Ladies

1. See men and add the following
2. Keep your midriff covered, leave the halter top at home
3. Keep the cleavage to a minimum. I know they cost you 7 grand, sorry cover the beauties.
4 Ditto the mini skirt. You fall asleep you might give your neighbor quite the show. Ask me how I know that LOL.

In closing, common sense should prevail.

I kinda have to agree on that one. When I had a paying first class passenger in row 1 with shorts on, my colleague and I got quite a show when he put his feet up on the wall in front of his seat. I personally dress nice when I fly. I travel on united a lot and they always bump me up if possible because I dress nice. A little reward for good behavior I guess. Another time a lady with a short skirt on fell asleep and the old man next to her quite enjoyed his view. I always get cold anyway on the flights, so covering up and being comfortable is not a big deal for me, I just shed some layers before walking out of the airport.

I swear I had no idea they fell out.

I used to dress nicely on a plane until the TSA took over airport security. If I'm going to be treated like a scumbag by scumbags, then screw it, I'll dress like one (not literally but you get the idea).

For most of us men, the only time we need to wear a tie is for a wedding, funeral, or in court.

Ya missed the ENTIRE POINT--READ and Re-read the post--it's concerning dress ..
Not calling psgr's losers...

And BTW I treat psgrs well and non rev's also.
and thank you for the compliment!

What is sad here is that the US employees cannot be trusted with pure, old fashioned common sense when it comes to dressing for nonrevving. Regardless of what the passengers are wearing, you are still a representative of US Airways when you travel and, ideally, should set the standard of style and behavior for other passengers. This means NO flip flops or jeans, in my opinion. US seems all about business casual these days, and neither jeans nor flip flops consitute business casual attire.
