Doug seems more like a snort of Jamison's in his morning coffee to me! Now I could be wrong

I'm talking about NOW.

Yes, a time that supports your theory. One could have said the same during periods of the 90's or the 80's - periods when the legacies were out-earning WN hand over fist. So thanks for acknowledging my point. Picking a suitable period of time and claiming it shows a fundamental change and is representative of the future as far as the eye can see.

BTW, I never said that the legacy model was broken. Bent and battered, possibly - how much have the legacy's lost as a group just this century? The model does have strengths but many of those strengths are it's greatest weaknesses when times are bad. Why do you think the model has changed over the last decade?

You are basically saying you have a job only because of a union and your somehow think that is a good thing?
The front line jobs pay and benefits are collective bargain and negotiated contracts. HP employees of the past know why that voted in the unions to catch up with the industry standards. The INDUSTRY IS HIGHLY UNIONIZE.. Industry standard paying jobs with benefits and work rules exist because of unions.Go back to peoplexpress standards like un-unionize HP was.Is that what you are basically saying

How dare you besmirch fine irish whiskey, that boy in the desert drinks mezcalin the morning.

I don't see Doug as a Mescal fan or a single malt scotch man. If he's drinking whiskey I'm thinking it's a blended Scotch or Canadian whiskey. When it come to alcohol I don't think he has a very discriminating palate.
