AMFA-SWA Negotiations Update #13
"The Association and Company exchanged several wage proposals. The Company offered both a 3 and a 5 year deal each incorporating a 7 year pay-progression scale or “B†scale. The Committee rejected the “B†scale proposal and a compromise was reached on a 4 year agreement. The wage increases amount to an obtainable combined 17% increase over the term of the agreement, 10% in base wage increases and 7% in obtainable ratification/productivity bonuses (3% ratification bonus, 3% base raises in 2009, 10 and 11 and 1% increase in 2012. Also, employees at the “thereafter†rate of the pay scale will receive a 1% productivity bonus all four years)."
