So I made this up based on are current seniority. It reads Class you started.
How many left
in that class. The age you would be if you started with the company at 21 years
of age.
Your seniority number and your Occ. Seniority 2008.. Yes it might be off give or
take, but
it is close.

Class Left Age Sen. YR. Occ. Sen

2001 2002 28 7 16892-18893

this is with the 900 still on the list. Sen.# 17993 to 18893 is 900
The year 1994 took the early out we had in 1999. Ten years and 10,000.00
full benfits. To me it looks like 1993,1994,1995,1996,and 1997 took that early
out.

So if you came to AA late in the game in 1993 like I did.. I started in 1999 at 44 and I will be 54 this Aug. and May 1st I started my 10th year you will be able to take this retirement.

I don't necessarily wish I was older :p , but I would really love to take the bridge to retirement. As it stands, I will stay on until I can take Article 30. I will maintain my 35 hour average per month to keep my benefits, grin and bear it.

I am sorry to anyone who read this. I called APFA and asked them if the last person on the 2008 seniority was a active FA they said yes and the second to last person on the 2008 seniority list did show up on the web roster as active. But I did get this in my HI 6 a few min ago

THE MOST SENIOR PERSON RECEIVING A SUBJECT TO FURLOUGH LETTER¶

IS SENIORITY NUMBER 16799 WITH OCCUPATIONAL SENIORITY DATE ¶

so I have to go by those numbers.. very confusing and I am sorry.

They misinformed you. The official 2008 seniority list posted on the Flight Service website includes ALL AA flight attendants including the 1100 or so still on furlough. If you go to the APFA website and click on the Furlough section, find the name of the most senior f/a still on furlough. Find that name on the 2008 seniority list and you will see that his/her seniority is 17702. The most junior person on the entire list has a seniority of 18893. The most junior active f/a has a seniority of 17701.

That means three people in the subject to furlough area have quit/died/retired/got fired or gone inactive just since the list was published. The difference between the the most junior person who did not get a WARN letter and the most senior person still on furlough is 903.

BTW, the 16799 seniority belongs to one of the best f/as in SLT. Fortunately, I'm sure that we will get at least one overage leave taker.

Yes you are right and after I got my HI6 I re-worked my list, but I will wait to post it.. I don't want to cause any harm to any one or stress.. I hope your friend and everyone gets to stay with leave and partnership flying.. in 2003 I did get the warn letter and thanks to the leaves I was saved.. again I will hope for the best and sorry for the mistake..

It's not a mistake. It's a miscalculation based upon the information you had at the time. Which unfortunately proved to be erroneous. You have to be careful when you ask questions of the APFA. You will always get an answer. Whether or not that answer is accurate is another issue.
