Total, absolute and complete BS.Doug's hands are tied =labor.
Were is your brain 2/3 of USAirways flying is contracted outHow is this labor's fault you ask? Well, I didn't say it was anyones fault. . . did you read the article? I was basing my statement soley on the article and I quote:
"The biggest reason: The airline is restricted on how much it can cut back flying under labor agreements made after the US Airways/America West merger.
They dictate a minimum fleet size and flight hours for pilots and flight attendants." End quote. . .
Other airlines are cutting back where USAirways cannot due to old labor agreements. It is WAY beyond who's fault it is. That is besides the point. . . the question is what can be done NOW.
Some are trying to rearrange the furniture while the buildings on fire! 😛h34r:

My my John john. My brain is fine but thank you for asking, but couldn't help wondering where your manners were? Were is your brain 2/3 of USAirways flying is contracted out
Old Contracts? You are kidding right?
Fleet Servicw and M&R have new CBAs done this year, and why dont the pilots and FAs have a new CBA?
Survey says COMPANY!!!!
I agree .. The pricing structure is way out of control. A seat should be a seat with a ticket and thats it. It cost's X amount for that seat from point A to point B. I think Virgin America has the right idea. Every seat is the same price. It does not matter if you are a business person or a family on vacation. Business people on a same day fare have been subsidizing family vacationers for a long time. Its got to end.I have mixed feeling about the new pricing structures. They do seem to be nickle and dime, but it let's you pay for what you want. Why should a guy that never checks a bag pay a higher fare for the family going on a cruise with the whole house in their bags? What worries me are the fees that stick it to our best customers without giving them any value, like the Sat. night stay requirement. The people that get hurt by that are our best customers, and have been paying our big bills for years. We need to find fees for the causual once a year traveler, and perks for the ones that stick with us and bring in the big bucks.
Again! 2/3 of USAirways flying is contracted out. I guess you can’t get the fact that reducing or cutting back flights is attainable without labors involvementOther airlines are cutting back where USAirways cannot due to old labor agreements. It is WAY beyond who's fault it is. That is besides the point. . . the question is what can be done NOW.
