Moore was on a show discussing Sicko the other night, and he mentioned that very early on in the production he realized the hypocrisy of being obese while making a movie about health care...So he decided to go on a diet to get in better shape. I'm sure it's still a work in progress, but he certainly looked much slimmer than he has in the past.

Just thought that was worth mentioning...

Hmmm...I guess he's just about representative of over 50% of the American population...obese. But tell me local...why not cancel your health insurance and tell us how great the American health care system is again. Then thank God for your employer's health care plan....even though that plan puts the cost American goods and services at a disadvantage over other "less enlightened" countries.

You're right local....we're not obese, so let those who overdo pay the price. Wait....you and I ARE paying the price...in the form of higher insurance premiums. Hell...I might as well have another twinkie.

Heard an interesting discussion last week about diabetes. Came to find out that if you burn exactly the number of calories that you take in every day...then have one oreo cookie every night....you'll gain 8 pounds in a year. My question is...who in their right mind can just eat ONE oreo??

The material presented is(IMHO)EYE-OPENING !!!!!

Pass all the comments you care to about Michael Moore(that is everyone's right), HOWEVER, if anyone should pass comments about the "content", WITHOUT seeing the flic, is being disengenuous.

For anyone seeing the movie, I'd be curious about your HONEST opinions(of the content).

Heard an interesting discussion last week about diabetes. Came to find out that if you burn exactly the number of calories that you take in every day...then have one oreo cookie every night....you'll gain 8 pounds in a year. My question is...who in their right mind can just eat ONE oreo??

Hey I still dunk'em (six at a time) in a tall glass of milk, but I also live a very active lifestyle and burn it off with ease. at age 47 5'11" and 175lbs my bmi is hovering around 24.4 which is in the normal rage.

You can't sit on your arse and expect to be healthy! 😛

See the movie(or on DVD), then perhaps you'll have a somewhat "different take".

I don't doubt the Cuba footage was disengenuous, but the Canadian/UK footage was NOT.
